Great collection. Right now I am using the Modhouse Argons MKIII and the Cascades. Great headphones. What is the headband strap that you have on yours?. I have tried several alternatives, but I am not finding the right thing... I also have the LCD2 Classic, and I have the 58x and the Fostex Ebony. We seem to have kind of similar tastes... looking for warm, dark and bassy but without missing good voices?

fast_ediThat’s awesome! Very similar.. yeah, that’s exactly what I’m going for. Ebony’s are the one that got away for me. Seen a few sets over the years used but in terrible condition. I’ll get ‘em one day 🤞 I’ll link the strap for the fostex. It’s a wider strap and super soft leather on the “head side” plus the orange looks sweet! https://understatedmontreal.com/

Did you do the cable mod on your koss headphones? I loved my kph30is for the month I used them and then my kitten swung her claws through my left side cable and I tried to strip and wire it myself but the cables are so freaking thin so I was thinking of adding 2 pin or mmcx

Yeah that's why I'm going to attempt the mod, it seems cheap enough to attempt. I looked into sending it to koss with the warranty but I have to ship it out and then include 10 to ship back so I think adding mmcx to it is a great idea. Do they sound as good or does it lose something in the swap of cables? Koss always surprises me and I have that other koss x massdrop set I'm worried to use now because of the terrible cables so I'm really interested in getting the mod done. Also with the yaxi pads do you have to glue them back in or something when binding the headphones back together? Or can you swap them later down the line if I want to swap colors?

Mastaboog749Didn't notice any sound difference with the mmcx mod. With the kph30's the easiest way to get inside is to rip the current pads and then you'll have easy access to the tabs to open them up. You can pry it open to save the pads but you risk breaking the flimsy tabs. The pads just go around the driver and you pop it back together. No gluing. The Porta pros are much easier of a project tbh.

Eskosalvatore1The fostex are the T50rp Argons from Modhouse. They’re great! Many online reviews. Long wait but worth it. Not sure what pair you’re referring to cause I don’t have the pandas. If you meant the ones next to the fostex those are the Campfire Cascades. Great great bass from those cans. let me know if you meant a different pair.
