Replacing Headphone Pads: What to look for...

more_vert
I use my ATH M50x's on my DJ decks, to track, and mix portably, but the pads are so worn and I need to replace. Been looking around Dekoni, but so many options for material. I wanted to see if you all have recommendations on best material for comfort, enough venting to not sweat or get a wind-tunnel type effect, and also deliver accurate sound quality. Thanks in advanced!

if you can find what fits you stick with Dekoni. i just modded t50 from fostex and put sheepskin premium's pads and they are a little warm but they seal very well. if you need cooler fenestrated ear pads, arte a type , fabric and they breathe. good luck

i have always heard a hard leather wall inside will give more bass, fenestration allows for treble to increase by letting lows sneak out

jamesroseJeez so it can be additive or subtractive for different frequencies...Sounds like leather may be the move for me as I want an accurate picture and good ear-seal.
