euphxenosHonestly I like smaller space bars, split bars in particular. It seems silly to me to have that entire area devoted to one key that I typically only hit with my right thumb anyway.

The small spacebar is a great idea. However, I need my ANSI Enter/Return and a 1.5x key directly above to serve as Backspace/Delete (a la HHKB). For the bottom row, in addition to the spacebar, all I need are Alt/Opt and Win/Command. The remaining keys on the 91U are standard TKL, but I would gladly lose all of them for the pleasing symmetry and space-saving size of a 60%.
Speaking of HHKB, this is the form factor and layout I prefer, but if I could modify it, I would strive for no keys requiring stabilzers -- therefore, shorten the left shift and spacebar so that no stabilizers are needed (the right shift is already shortened to 1.75x on the HHKB). This might require a split spacebar (e.g., 2 x 1.75x or possibly 2 x 1.50x) to obviate the need for stabilizers.

I have no idea what I'm talking about here because I'm new to the community and MKs in general, but can the Japanese layout be converted to a German layout? Its got the enter key in the same awesome shape. Could it also drop in a German Layout?
