How Much Have You Spent On Keyboards?

more_vert
I think its pretty easy to see that we spend a lot of money on keyboards, By my very rough calculations i've spent around 1200 USD on keyboards and i've only been in this community for two years. How much have you spent, honestly you might not want to look it up, it might depress you.

In one year, $350, and about to buy more keycaps. First keyboard, Drevo BladeMaster TE w/ Razor keycaps, $130. Then Glorious GMMK kit $130, with Glorious wood wrist rest $30, and Mechcables custom cable $60.

A little over $3000. I've been in the hobby for about 8 months now...
It was all excess money though so no regrets but I guess I could have spent it better lol. I keep a spreadsheet of the things I've bought and at first I couldn't believe the number.
For comparison, I've spent about $850 on audiophile gear, which I've been in for about the same time and only around $200 on fountain pens.

Updated figure for me is clocking in somewhere around $4.5k. It's honestly hard to keep track at this point, but that's also spread out over about three and a half years.

I added it all up and in just 6 months it’s over 1000. That includes a KBDFans 75, Red Scarf iii Ver A, Tina T60, Nautilu and laser keycaps and laser translucent, matching usb cables for both, and some o rings. Also since this was the first time I’ve soldered anything I had to buy an iron, and everything else needed for soldering.
Once the red scarf and laser stuff comes in, I’ll probably be done for awhile. ... Unless I see a good solarized set :)

I kinda over paid for the Nautilus. It looks amazing but I kinda didn’t know what I was doing and bought the spacebar kit when I didn’t really need it.

Last time I checked I was in the $5k range. I keep telling myself this is the last one... but it’s a hobby that makes me happy, and I get that feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve so it’s totally worth it.
