AUTigerFanThe Tag-Heuer Series 2000 was a gift from my wife to celebrate my first real job - a tenure-track faculty position. The Tag-Heuer Formula 1 was a gift from my wife to celebrate my first major research grant. The Omega Seamaster was a gift from my wife to celebrate earning tenure. The Seiko 5 (SNZG15) was my first automatic watch. I loved it, except for the fact that I couldn't manually wind it and it lacked a hacking function. Thus, shortly thereafter I bought the Seiko Orange Monster (SRP309). Loved the look and functionality of that diver watch, which led me to buy the Christopher Wards, the Orient Ray Raven II, and the Seiko SSC017. The other two Seiko (SNAD23P1 and the SSC081P1) were impulse buys at the Seiko outlet store (RIP) in Foley, AL, while the other two Tag Heuers (Carrera Chronograph and Carrera Twin-Time) celebrated the birth of my consulting company. I wore all of these watches in 2018. So far this year the titanium Christopher Ward and the Christopher Ward COSC Chronometer have been worn much more than any of the others.

AUTigerFanAm I mistaken, or did you actually cut and paste each of those photos from a few dozen websites and then stitch the images together for this posting--you know, as opposed to photographing your own watches yourself, as is the normal custom?

RayFYep, I photoshopped the pictures from websites. The wonderful picture that you posted in late December/early January both inspired me (to depict my collection) and shamed me (because I knew that I could never approach that level of photographic excellence).

AUTigerFanThat sounds like even more work than the other way. Well, you are to be commended for your efforts and creativity (so long as you didn't assign the project to your staff and then take all the credit)! --kidding, nice work and nice collection by the way ;- )

RayFThanks, RayF! And, no, I didn't have my staff work on the pictures <lol> - they are busy enough putting together figures for their research publications and presentations!
