Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Considering those variables, I would recommend something like swans powered speakers or even jbl lsr305. To be honest, I would have purchased yamaha hs5's but they have a rear firing bass port and because of that I opted out. The only other option around my budget was the krk rockit, and they didn't really appeal to me sonically or look-wise. I like understated objects and the krk's are just a bit too flamboyant for me. I would say check out the klipsh r-15pm, or the audioengine hd3 (sounds different from the horrendous a5+, thank god!). I also read that emotiva airmotion speakers are also very good for a cheap price point, especially considering the ribbon tweeter design.
That's my two cents anyway. Have fun and enjoy your music. Those are the two most important factors to be honest.
