SOFT/GEL KEYS FOR MECHANICAL KEYBOARD?

more_vert
Is there such a thing as soft coated whether it be rubber or gel or some other sort of soft material that is made onto replacement mechanical keys? I have some medical issues and I am trying to find relief into my existing keyboard. I already out o-rings to dampen it a bit. It muffles the sound more than making them softer. Any suggestions?

The silicone keycaps that Massdrop has offered in the past might help.

In the talk page of that drop, one poster linked to a similar set available for purchase on AliExpress:

Sweet, thanks for the info sevenseacat! Really appreciate it. :)

I remembered reading this post, if it's any interest, the gel keys drop is open again. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/silica-gel-keycap-set
