Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

- Bluetooth with the option of being wired (This is not a hard requirement, but if it exists)
- Behind the head is preferred (Don't know the term but just so the thing that usually sits on your head is around the back of the neck).
- No Ear Buds (just doesn't like these)
- Not noise canceling (She needs to be able to hear people asking for help)
- Does not bleed sound like open back.
The ones that I have found have either broken down in a couple months, or just plain don't work correctly. Here are the ones she has now...https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-wireless-on-ear-headphones-black/5150900.p?skuId=5150900&cmp=RMX&extStoreId=7&ref=212&loc=1&ksid=5cf1cc9f-1632-40b8-ae5e-6097e9b18376&ksprof_id=11&ksaffcode=pg266309&ksdevice=c&lsft=ref:212,loc:2
We have also tried these ones, but they gave her a headache after extended use

She really likes the style of the first ones, but I don't like that I have to buy a new set every 3 months or so and want to invest in something that will last a long time. Any suggestions would be awesome! I know if any group of people can help me out, it's this one!
Thanks!
