I send a mail to Dekoni : "Hi Dekoni, please, can you tell me if you have a compatible pad for my Drop Hifiman HEXX ? https://drop.com/buy/drop-hifiman-he5xx thanks by advance" Response of Dekoni : "No we do not have compatible ear pads for the Drop Hifiman HEXX"

I really like the HE-5XX but with no option to replace pads, I don't see how I can keep them. If there was an option to buy pads for them, I would rip the pad and keep the mounting ring. Hifiman or Drop should offer an option to buy mounting rings and/or pads for these. Otherwise, as much as I hate to say it, its not worth buying them. Once the pads wear down, you are stuck with an useless product unless you hack them.

I sent an email to Dekoni as well and they told me they are currently "in production" but there is "no timeline for release".

Hifiman sells many kinds replacement pads on Amazon and on their own website that will fit 400 and 500 series cans. The cheapest way to get new rings is to buy a set of $10 velour hifiman pads and remove the rings from them. With the rings, you can attach dekoni, ZMF, and many other manufacturers’ pads to these cans. I currently have ZMF sheepskin Ori pads on my 4XXs—a big improvement in sound and comfort over the stock focus pads imho.

I haven’t received my 5XXs yet and was hoping/assuming I could swap some different pads onto them with my existing hifiman rings (not a fan of the focus pads). It’s annoying to learn drop has deviated from the standard hifiman ring setup. Thanks for the heads up!

Got my 5XXs a couple months ago. Turns out I love the new stock pads. They are much more comfortable than the focus pads. I have no plans to change them anytime soon. The 5XXs are good to go right out of the box.
