How about adding a Lightning to keep costs low?
Where is the Microtech UTX-85?
Why limit to OTF autos only?

My thoughts as well, although there was one lone Pro-Tech at the bottom of the list, and my favorite model at that. But if you're talking autos generally, not just OTFs, I think there ought to be at least one more Pro-Tech (probably a TR model, the TR 5 would be my pick), and a non-OTF Benchmade or two. And if it is going to be just OTFs, my picks for the two best are missing: the Microtech UTX-85, and the relatively new Recon 035 from Guardian Tactical. GT designed a new system for the button that uses little ceramic bearings--kind of an OTF IKBS--and it's SO SMOOTH. I loved the Recon when the sole model was CPM-154 drop-point blade, but now that they have daggers and tantos and seemed to have settled on Elmax for the blades I think they beat the Ultratech by a wide margin. A little more controversially, I would also argue that a list of best autos needs representation from the Boker Kalishnikov line. Obviously, they're not the quality of the aforementioned brands, but "best" is subjective and maybe what it means to someone is "best value", instead simply "best function". That said, I'd add a BladeOps exclusive Boker Kalishnikov automatic S30V blade steel. Unlike other upgraded Kalish auto models, such as the "AK-47 anniversary" pieces or the BladeHQ exclusive models, both of which I love for the XHP blades, the BladeOps model isn't a limited run and can be purchased more or less any time. I hate polls that include a bunch or one-offs, sprint runs, and mythical unicorns in the options. Unless that's what the poll is about. But it's silly to mix commonly available knives with ones no one is able to buy. Even more controversially, I'd also argue one spot should be devoted to a non-OTF Piranha automatic. For the price, I think they're the best autos on the market. Nobody else sells a drumskin-tight, full-sized auto for $100. Well, there's my day's ration of complaining about something instead of actually doing it.
