I have the smaller Field skillet (no. 8 I guess? it is 10 inch in diameter). It is well-built and a joy to use. With proper use and care it will be almost non-stick. I fry eggs for example, and they slide off the skillet. You won't be flipping pancakes in this, however, unless you build up the seasoning and use enough oil in the mix. I tried pancakes in my second use and it didn't work. Overall I recommend this item, it is definitely a couple of steps above a Lodge, for example, which I also like. It is lighter and has a much smoother inside. You should be diligent with maintenance though, dry after each use and take care of the seasoning.
The Field or Stargazer Cast Iron Skillets are something I have had my on for a while. Since I cannot see or feel either in hand, I have had a hard time deciding.
Did you get one? If so, which one?
