The LSR308 is really the better option, if you don't plan on getting a dedicated subwoofer. Increased low end justifies the higher cost imho.

In my opinion that largely depends on the size of the room you are in, I own the 308´s and in my new room the bass overpowers and drowns out the mids and highs.
