Mastafubut you can play from an external hard drive. the SSD is just handy for fast boot times and here is a video from NCIX tech tips to proof that you can play games via USB 3.0

tigeropenImo if I'm going to get a slim laptop like this one, I want optimal mobility, and needing to hook up an external hard drive isn't worth it for me
