Titanium Mini-Clips / Carabiners Poll: http://dro.ps/v/c9ZAyVq
swiftblade3 - Most carabiners used in climbing are non-locking. Both easier to use and they are substantially lighter, and when climbing a long multipitch where you might need 40 of them, that might be critical.
Maybe trying to make their own quickdraws?
Why would someone buy a non-locking carabiner for climbing?

@swiftblade3 There are many reasons someone wouldn't want a locking carabiner for climbing. As stated previously if they want to make their own quickdraw for lead climbing and or top roping. Also for securing themselves and other gear when big wall/multi-pitch climbing, clipping things onto backpacks, clipping a chalk bag to your harness. Honestly the possibilities are endless and the more you have the more things you can do with them. Hope that helps.
