Thanks to adam4163 for starting this poll! We've contacted the vendor on your behalf and they've made the Plazmatic X USB-Rechargeable Lighter available.
BTW -- I just exchanged my Turrim for a different model ... another of the two jet models. Could not get the Turrim to light reliably. Went thru three and all had issues. It's a shame because it's a handsome lighter and feels good in the hand. But it was tough to fill and totally unreliable.
I know its prob more cost effective with the Arc Lighter brand, but for something that is this cool why not go for the version that is a bit more styliss? I think Elementium ones are more appealing and they have a double beam lighting system that probably yields better lightning of items vs a single beam.
Hey everyone -- Just wanted to post a quick update that we've been looking into this.
With over 3000 votes, mostly for arc lighters, we know it's something the community wants and we'll do our best to make it happen. There seem to be a lot of people making lighters that use some kind of electric arc technology, and we're looking into which ones are really of the quality Massdrop members, especially EDC enthusiasts, will appreciate.
In doing a bit of research, I came across these ArcLighters and have spoken to the vendor. They have just delivered their first production run after a successful Kickstarter campaign, during which they got input from the community that was ultimately incorporated into the final design. We've heard that backers have been pleased with the units they received - what do you think?

I've owned a number of DuPont lighters. Obviously, they are the gold standard for lots of people. That wonderful "ping" sound on opening, their incredible reliability, and their "long history," all make DuPont lighters very, very popular. I have three ;-). My only word of caution: the lacquer finishes. They are vulnerable to daily wear and tear and do best if you keep them in a sleeve of some kind. Because of that and the fact that you don't see as many of them, I'm voting in favor of the Grey Torch from Porsche.
