The ZBoard is worth the 1.2k Price seen it in action looks awesome no controller needed. I was looking at the other boards and most need a remote and one is attached to the board so lame.
I've ridden the Boosted Board and it's got amazing acceleration and speed for something so lightweight, but obviously it's pricey. I used to ride an old E-glide and the battery bank made it weigh 80 lbs. It doesn't look like there's been much improvement - same for Z-board. Anything over 20 lbs and it becomes a major production just to use it. Better to pay more for a board you can carry with one hand.
The Kickstarter for Marbel Electric Longboard only just ended last month, and their first deliveries to the earliest Kickstarter backers aren't scheduled to happen until October (which, given that this is Kickstarter we're talking about, figure maybe next June or July).
So, as sweet as that board is, it probably doesn't make sense for Massdrop just yet.
These are cool as fuck, but are also overpriced as fuck. How can a longboard that costs $150 cost upper of $1.2k with a motor and a remote added to it?
-.-
You're right, I can't make my own high quality pair of headphones or mechanical keyboard. That's why don't complain when I have to pay a premium price for a premium product.
