These are cool as fuck, but are also overpriced as fuck. How can a longboard that costs $150 cost upper of $1.2k with a motor and a remote added to it? -.-

Rafa_mThere's a lot of engineering that goes into making these, and it's not cheap for people to make. Plus it's niche, so the price gets marked up. If you think you can make a better one yourself for cheaper, then by all means, do it.

Rafa_mthe battery itself costs around 200$/300$, if these companies go into a massive production scale hopefully the price'll tone down a bit.

jabzathat "make one yourself" argument is bullshit. Can you make a good pair of headphones or a mechanical keyboard yourself? probably not. that does't mean that they are not worth the price
