Thanks everyone for contributing to this poll! We are going to close it now as we are winding down 2015. If you would like to know when some of these items are dropped again just click the Request button on the respective drop page. Here's to another great year!
The snapheisers are tinny and veiled and they are pretty much the new beats and bose 50% sound 50% branding Listening to beyers have no mids out of the big three of european headphone AKG is the one that sucks the least. finally the number one of the poll we had plenty of M50 drops already and new M70s are out too. The M50s are not flat and have way too much bass to be classified as a monitor headphone.
Well It's going to be the "end of 2015 headphone drop" If we wait any longer...
People need to get over the hyped ATH-M50, I thought people were starting to realize it's way hyped. So much better headphones out there for the money, look at Audio-Technica's portable Ear-Suit models like the ES700 and ESW9 they are actually made in Japan and you probably haven't heard of them so they aren't going to get mass amounts of price jumping up due to demand.
why does someone have to add the M50/M50x in every single headphone poll? its super annoying
Just got the Audeze LCD-2, and they are the best things I've ever heard. If you can afford the LCD-2 but can't afford the LCD-3, they are by far the best choice out of any headphone.

Yup they are nice, I bought the LCD-2s USED (didn't want a fazor) and a pair of new HD800s to compliment them, wonderful.

Why don't you like the Fazor?
new to massdrop but just curious when would these head phones actually "drop" or be for sale? Thanks!
F U AND UR M50S
ATH-M50 is one of the most overly hyped entry level "audiophile" headphone. They were ok 5 years ago. Today even average consumer headphones surpassed them in sound and value.

The common misconception is that M50s are consumer headphones, when they're actually monitoring headphones.

They are worse yet for being "monitoring" headphones. Bass does not have resolution or control. Most studio monitors do not reach sub 50Hz... where good headphone takes over. On top of that frequency response is no where near even. One has to compensate for the sound signature of the headphone. There is easier headphones to produce a *good mix with...
Suddenly I seem not to care about special headphones or ultra zesty deals. I'm just damned glad that someone has called the people at Massdrop "supper-awesome," which in fact they are. That's some mighty eclectic diction you're slingin', Sheriff Buford. I find the people on this thread to be vittles-tight myself.

Have you "signed up" for Deal News. This is a daily email sent to you that you can customize to get electronics only. They had HD 650s for $295 and Hd 600s for $250 from Adorama a few weeks back. Currently have Beyer DT1350s for $225. Easy to deal with, no restocking fee but they do charge shipping out to you if you return something for no good reason. Also, register at Buy Sonic. These are my BEST go to sites for headphone deals.
Please supper awesome people of MassDrop, vote for the Sennheiser HD 598, if we could drop it to around $100 that would be fantastic
I sometimes forget why using the manufacturer's suggested retail price is dumb, but then seeing some of these listed prices remind me. I love my Beyerdynamic DT880s (normal, 250 ohm) like hell, but "$349.00MSRP pricing" is absurd.
Suggested prices in general are terrible.
If you buyers really want the ATH-M50x's then look up on slickdeals as they currently have one running at around $112- from the time of this post

I also think a massdrop for these quite cheap cans is obsolete.
What are the differences in the ATH-M50 and the ATH-M50xBL? I can't seem to figure it out.

M50X models have detachable cords and the BL is a limited edition blue model. IMO the BL looks fantastic. They have the same drivers so they should theoretically all sound the same.
