Deuce of Spades is a trusty and almost weightless tool. It hangs well on the outside of your pack and is very flat if you need to stow it in some random open space. It's multi-use and I've heard of people using it as a stake or improvised spoon (ehhhh) haha.
I would point out that the "backpacking trowel" option is called the Deuce of Spades, made by The Tent Lab: http://thetentlab.com/Deuce/DeuceofSpadespage.html
I voted for the titanium trowel because the other one is .84 inches (2 cm) of aluminum, which, I don't trust aluminum with reliably dealing with hole digging ventures.

I kickstarted the (aluminum) Deuce of Spaces way back when- quality piece of kit. I've used it on a solid month of hiking at this point and it's never bent after many hours of pooping.
