What are the chances of the prices actually getting low enough to justify paying shipping on the sawyer mini water filter. It's $20 on amazon with prime shipping.

listIessI just talked with Sawyer again about the Mini - they're still not willing to work with us on this item. And you're probably right that there isn't a lot of room for better group savings off of Amazon's existing price. I'll keep you posted if anything changes @listless

listIessDon't buy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It failed me on the West Coast Trail two years ago. It's awesome if your water quality has no suspended material. However, if your water is at all gunky, you spend more time and clean water cleaning it than you do drinking from it. Never trusting it again!

LastUnderPersonally I found the mini pretty good. We used one to filter brown river water to supply seven people with all their cooking/cleaning water needs for a 3 day camp. We had to back flush it once per day, which seemed reasonable for such a small filter.
My wife and I also relied on one for an 11 day hike... If the water was too filthy I'd prefilter it with a cloth first. I guess no filter is going to be able to remove a lot of particulate and not get clogged... but I'm curious to see if you found a better solution?
