Right ear keeps cutting out
So I have a PC38x headset that I bought a few years back. I moved away from home for work, and left the headset there with my gaming PC. I used it maybe 2 or 3 times before I left, and it always had the problem of it cutting out in my right ear phone. It makes like a crackling noise like something is loose, and then cuts out the audio entirely. Sometimes it works for a few minutes, but inevitably cuts out on the right side again. I am wondering if there is a fix? Or could I be shipped a new one?

The AKG K7XX will be my second high grade headphone purchase, I figure I already have a close back set and I like to listen to an open back to understand first hand what the differences in "Sound Stage" are.
Plus with the E17 you can also later on get the E09 and have a dedicated desktop amp/DAC setup..
Good luck with whatever you choose to get..
The E18 has lots of nice features too you are able to charge your phone with the power from the E18's battery in case you need to.
But the main reason for me was that the E17 has the option of changing the Bass and Treble, So if I use a headphone that is has too much base I can reduce it or increase it if I want; as well as the treble if it's to harsh I can mellow it out. That was my main reason for getting the E17. (and the great reviews too ;) ) in the end I am very happy with it and I have recommended it to anyone that asks.
Granted the E18 has a "better" DAC chip and it slimmer and better battery, those were not enough to make me chose the E18.
Peace...
