Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

We're very excited to bring you the AKG K7XX, a co-branded product between AKG and Massdrop. It's a little bit different than usual, as we're unveiling the drop page before the headphone is actually being offered on the site so that members can read up on and learn about the K7XX.
We've sent units to quite a few reviewers, and I'll be updating this post with links as they come.

Q: Is the serial number I receive dependent on when I joined the drop? A: Units 1-10 were reserved for reviewers. The quickest 250 members to purchase the headphone are guaranteed to receive a serial # within the first 300 serialized numbers. After the first 250, it's a random grab bag from there on out.
I'm not associated with MassDrop.
I've read others have this problem with rattling or vibrations out of one earcup. You can do a search online on the forums for more data. Though basically they are claiming if you take off the ear foam you can lightly bend or loosen the plastic covering over the driver, this gives the drivers diaphragm more room to move about. It may have been bent or a bit too tight/loose before to produce accurate bass/sub-bass.

I hope you can either fix your issue carefully yourself --if you don't want to wait for shipping-- or warranty service gets back to you soon.
Best luck!
-Cheers!
Hey eveyone, remanber me? I'm the man who said I bought a AKG K7xx with rattle in the left ear. you know when I put the left earcup up to left ear and I was shocked. As you see in the picture where I marked with red square, you can see a copper wire through the left ear, I think that's the reason whick makes the rattle.
I write to massdrop third times and they never write back.
WE KNOW THE AKG K7XX IS REALY CHEAP, BUT CHEAP MEANS BAD QUALITY CONTORL?
IF YOU BUY A AKG K7XX, DO YOU WANT TO GET THE SAME ONE JUST LIKE ME?
If you check the functional, non rattling side, it will be the same.
Have you had any luck with plugging in the headset, playing something that makes it vibrate and gently pulling on the casing covering to see if it may just be touching the driver?
