I tried carrying one. After adding my knife, cash and cards ( and a few other tidbits) it looked and felt like I was carrying a pocket full of walnuts. Very awkward.

This is a supremely thoughtless design. The purpose of such pouches is to organize and consolidate items being carried in a pocket without adding too much bulk. This pouch basically recreates a pocket while adding unnecessary bulk with the added inconvenience of assuming that all front pockets will be the same size 🤦‍♂️

Such a good product for all your spare pens, spectacles, and asthma inhaler. Or cargo pants could just come back in style.

I just ordered and cancelled when I realised that I didn't know which side the elastic was on. I want this for my left pocket, with the elastic on the outside. Do I need to order the left or the right pocket version?

A pocket for your pocket? Makes no sense to me.

let me know if anyone wants to sell me theirs (if they're unhappy) - if they have a left pocket in black...

I just want to point out that very similar looking products are made which are pocket holsters for small frame pistols. My point being, maybe don't keep your ID in this, because if you pull it out during a traffic stop your chances of being shot in the face by a sweaty rookie cop are going to increase exponentially. Just sayin'.

Yes. It would still be wise to err on the side of caution before whipping this item out in some situations. For decades holster manufacturers have been producing pocket holsters with a similar outline. My first view of the photo triggered a question; Is Drop selling a pocket holster? But the pocket holster is intended to be left behind while drawing the firearm, so high friction materials (like suede finishes) are part of the design. Another difference is, as far as I'm aware, pocket holsters never totally enclose the firearm and use friction alone to retain it.
Agreed - I would add that it's always advisable to not reach into your pocket without telling an officer what exactly you are getting and having their permission to do so. It's such a shame to have seen folks getting into nasty situations just reaching for their phone! Always be safe regardless of what's in or not in your pocket. It's better for the officer and for you!
Hi all,
Thanks for being part of this drop! We're working on all your orders. The shipping deadline is October 24, and we will post here if there are going to be any delays. We craft and ship all our products from our Chicago-area workshop, but Massdrop is responsible for purchasing and tracking the postage. If you have questions about tracking, arrival time-frame, etc. their team are the ones to contact. Also, you may receive your order in two separate packages if you ordered any add-ons like a notebook. Massdrop ships those add-ons directly from their warehouse.
If once you receive your order, you have questions or issues, please contact us at We have a lifetime, no questions asked guarantee on ALL our products. We want you to absolutely LOVE all the stuff we make, and we won't stop until that's the case.
We'll be able to much more quickly address any of those issues or questions if you reach out directly to us at our service email (, as opposed to posting here on the boards or going through Massdrop customer service. With as many drops as we are fortunate to run through Massdrop it can become difficult for us to make sure to respond to every customer note on the boards. And, since it saves everyone some time, we're happy work with you directly so that Massdrop support team doesn't have to act as a go-between.
We hope you love your new Allegory gear!
