Hi, the reason why we use Teflon was that HOVER was intended to sit still next to the keyboard.
It'll move but the top surface is hard for your palm to grab onto and make it slide
I would say that you can make it work with a horizontal (ergonomic) mouse. For a regular mouse, it is too tall.
I wouldn't recommend a wrist rest for the mouse anyway. It doesn't move the way you want.
