I'm glad the silicone feet are included, but why teflon by default? I feel like you generally want your wrist rests to *not* move
Hi, the reason why we use Teflon was that HOVER was intended to sit still next to the keyboard. It'll move but the top surface is hard for your palm to grab onto and make it slide

Could one of these be used as a wrist rest for a mouse or is it a little too tall?

I would say that you can make it work with a horizontal (ergonomic) mouse. For a regular mouse, it is too tall. I wouldn't recommend a wrist rest for the mouse anyway. It doesn't move the way you want.
