Hey, @Tex-Arozzi — don't you think it was a little underhanded to put a normally cheaper chair (the signature series) up for the same price ($299), calling it a limited-time deal, then to list this, a better chair, immediately after that timed deal ended? This has me concerned about the quality of the signature series. Really wanted to give your company a chance despite all the quality concerns, but that tactic reeks of the signature series being a problematic chair you needed to offload by creating a false sense of urgency with the timed deal.
Really just an insane way of handling things. The people who purchased the signature series deal took a chance on your company's chairs after even you admitted the previous chairs "had some problems." You then turned around and said, "Hey, how can I make sure every single person who took a chance on us regrets it? I know! I'll list a better chair for the same price as soon as they can't cancel their orders!" Congrats, my dude. First time I've had buyer's remorse before a product even ships.
Hey, @Tex-Arozzi , appreciate and respect your response and offer. I also want to apologize for coming in hotter than I needed to; to be clear, I don't think you had bad intentions, but that was the optics of the situation from my end and I was a little dramatic trying to express that point.
For context, when I was researching the signature series, I saw the primo and thought it was a better fit for me and was similar to a chair I had been hoping to catch on sale (I'm not a big guy, but I do have a tendency to sit criss-cross-applesauce in my chair like a 12 year old, and I doubt I could break that habit even if my dog hadn't decided that is the optimal way for me to sit for him to get in quality lap time while I'm working). But I'd already been holding out trying to find a new chair for a few months and, while the primo was more like the chair I wanted, the signature series was the one I could afford, so I figured I could make it work. But that might help you understand my frustration with the issue at the time.
Not to beat a dead horse, but while I'm used to timed deals, I haven't ever seen anything like this happen before on Drop — it'd be like if the Sennheiser 58x was up for $180, then, the day they became unavailable, the 6xx series went up for the same price. Similar thing in that they may not have the exact same audiences, but I can imagine a lot of people who bought the 58x model would probably have some questions. (I'm sure the weight and size of headphones also means there's less variability in shipping costs since it's spread out over more items; really appreciated your insight on that!)
I also wanted to clarify what I meant about performance issues. The verona series does get generally good reviews, but there is definitely a trend of people reporting failing chair mechanisms, which you said you'd addressed by not using that factory any longer. Drop's no-return policy on some items can make purchasing decisions feel like they have more pressure behind them than usual, though, so I couldn't just completely dismiss that. I'm sure you're pretty familiar with the demographics of Drop customers, but I figure I'm not the only one who uses it to get on the right side of Vimes' boots theory of socioeconomic unfairness — any purchase I make on here, I'm generally expecting it to last multiple years. So If I get a lemon, then I'm just out that money and the purchase I expected me to last four or five years or more is just a loss.
That's more than I meant to type, but I figured I owed you the context (and the apology). Again, I appreciate your response and the offer you made to the community; hope it helps out anyone who might've been in the same situation I was in.
smonkoneI do understand and appreciate where you were coming from. I just wanted everyone to understand the situation completely. Also, even though you are purchasing here on drop with no return privileges you still have a 2 year warranty with Arozzi. We will be here if you have any issues. I can guarantee that. Also, the drop member who posted about his original Verona Chair which in turn I responded about discontinuing that product and not using that factory anymore... even though he is way out of warranty I am still sending him a new replacement chair at no cost! We take care of our customers here at Arozzi and always right the wrong if at all possible.
Don't bother with the Arozzi chairs. The quality just isn't there to justify the price. I had a chair for less than a year and it literally fell apart. Both the wheel base, and the gas cylinder broke. They did send replacements, but they didn't last long either. Warranty process is ok, but could be quicker.
NibathyNot my experience at all. I have the Vernazza model Arozzi chair for 5 years now with no issues. I am thinking of getting the Primo as it has some nice upgrades.
NibathyI wish I had read this before buying mine. I just got it and I'm kind of at a loss for words on the poor quality of this chair. First plastic piece broke so easily I didn't even bother trying the rest of the trim pieces. The mechanism for leaning the backrest back/forward is oddly notchy but functional I suppose. The foam (if that's what you can call it) is so firm I feel like I'm sitting on a piece of wood. Like there's firm...and then there is whatever the hell this is.
I feel like I got scammed.
