Is it possible to disconnect the arms from the chair and go armless?

I want to use the chair in my studio and need to play instruments. Chair arms can make it difficult to handle an instrument.
I read how the arms can turn in or out. But, I hope removing them is an option if need be.

Yes, you can go "armless" if that's your need or desire.
