This was a great help to figure out which switch to get. Ended up ordering the Drop Halo Clears. Can't wait to put them in my Keychron C2!

If this were a random pack of switches then it'll be very enticing... Will there ever be blue box ever again Massdrop?

Someone should make a keyboard out of this, post it on youtube, and watch the world burn

Ok but now how do I figure out if it’s the Aliaz 60g or 70g that I like? I think it’s the 70g based on the sound but is there a visual difference between the two?

emilyhebertYou can simply 'headbutt' the switches together and see which one bottoms out first :)

Does this run out after October 30th?

Every switch shown in the order of the list they appear in. Every row is a different make/brand. Cherry - Gateron - Aliaz (technically Gateron but not listed as Gateron) - Kailh - Halo (technically Kailh but not listed as Kailh).

I like having a variety of switches for comparison purposes and I don't mind paying up a bit for the convenience of having switches on hand that I would never buy otherwise, but this 'sampler' really needs to come with an acrylic base, legend and translucent keycaps. And yes, a Holy Panda would be a nice addition to the set, especially in light of the recent unpleasantness wrt Drop (formerly Massdrop) HOLY F'ing Pandas.

Need a key so we can tell which switch is which. Maybe a picture with a name? I can identify the following switches:
  1. Cherry MX Blue
  2. Cherry MX Brown
  3. Cherry MX Red
  4. Cherry MX Silver
  5. Gateron SMD Red
  6. Gateron SMD Blue
  7. Gateron SMD Yellow
  8. Gateron SMD Green
  9. Gateron SMD Clear
  10. Kailh Box Navy
  11. Kailh Box Jade
  12. Kailh Pro Purple
  13. Kailh Pro Burgundy
  14. Kailh Pro Silver

That leaves 6 switches that I have no idea what they are. They are all labeled as Gateron and Kailh. Does that mean I did not receive that Aliaz or Halo switches? My best guess for names are:
  1. Gateron SMD Pink
  2. Gateron SMD Pink
  3. Kailh Mustard
  4. Kailh Brown
  5. Kailh Beige
  6. Kailh White

If it was 16 dollars, included the their version of the Holy Panda, I would get it. For 20 bucks I expect 4x5 tray. I went searching for the cheapest I could find each switch and the switches are priced as follows (add .03-.15 went attempting to purchace a single switch):
  • Cherry MX Blue RGB: $10 of 12 Cherry switches| .83+.12= .95 cents per single switch
  • Cherry MX Brown RGB: $10 of 12 Cherry switches| .83+.12= .95 cents per single switch
  • Cherry MX Red RGB: $10 of 12 Cherry switches| .83+.12= .95 cents per single switch
  • Cherry MX Silver RGB: $10 of 12 Cherry switches| .83+.12= .95 cents per single switch
  • Gateron SMD Red: $2 for pack of 10 switches| .20+.05=.25 cents per single switch
  • Gateron SMD Blue: $2 for pack of 10 switches| .20+.05=.25 cents per single switch
  • Gateron SMD Yellow: $2 for pack of 10 switches| .20+.05=.25 cents per single switch
  • Gateron SMD Green: $2 for pack of 10 switches| .20+.05=.25 cents per single switch
  • Gateron SMD Clear: $2 for pack of 10 switches| .20+.05=.25 cents per single switch
  • Aliaz Silent Tactile 60 g: $40 for a pack of 70 switches| .57+.08=.65 cents per single switch
  • Aliaz Silent Tactile 70 g $40 for a pack of 70 switches| .57+.08=.65 cents per single switch
  • Kailh Box Navy: $4.50 for a pack of 10| .45+.10= .55 cents per single switch
  • Kailh Box Jade: $4.50 for a pack of 10| .45+.10= .55 cents per single switch
  • Kailh Pro Purple: $2.80 for pack of 10| .28+.07= .35 cents per single switch
  • Kailh Pro Burgundy: $2.80 for pack of 10| .28+.07= .35 cents per single switch
  • Kailh Speed Silver: $2.80 for pack of 10| .28+.07= .35 cents per single switch
  • Kailh Speed Copper: $2.80 for pack of 10| .28+.07= .35 cents per single switch
  • Kailh Speed Gold: $2.80 for pack of 10| .28+.07= .35 cents per single switch
  • Halo True: $5.50 for a pack of 10| .55+.12= .67 cents per single switch
  • Halo Clear $5.50 for a pack of 10| .55+.12= .67 cents per single switch
So around 10.20 cents if all these switches were bought as single. You have to figure in your local shipping times however many times you ordered individually (but who's doing that, right?). These switches as is should already be being sold at least 4x times as much as they cost to make. Anyway, I figured I'd save people some time. Is this a good price just for the switches? I don't think so, but I only think the 87 switch tester for 55 bucks is worth anyway. I could understand about 15 dollars, unless it comes with a tray to hold them, which still wouldn't cover another 5 dollars, but hey, everyone has got to make a profit too.

hdsharpe1and for anyone looking, if you're willing to wait KPRepublic has a 130 switch tester for $60.90. It comes with a couple duplicates, but thats okay cause you can take out the duplicates and add your own switches. For the most part all the switches are different!
