Ok but now how do I figure out if it’s the Aliaz 60g or 70g that I like? I think it’s the 70g based on the sound but is there a visual difference between the two?
Every switch shown in the order of the list they appear in. Every row is a different make/brand. Cherry - Gateron - Aliaz (technically Gateron but not listed as Gateron) - Kailh - Halo (technically Kailh but not listed as Kailh).
I like having a variety of switches for comparison purposes and I don't mind paying up a bit for the convenience of having switches on hand that I would never buy otherwise, but this 'sampler' really needs to come with an acrylic base, legend and translucent keycaps. And yes, a Holy Panda would be a nice addition to the set, especially in light of the recent unpleasantness wrt Drop (formerly Massdrop) HOLY F'ing Pandas.
Need a key so we can tell which switch is which. Maybe a picture with a name? I can identify the following switches:
Cherry MX Blue
Cherry MX Brown
Cherry MX Red
Cherry MX Silver
Gateron SMD Red
Gateron SMD Blue
Gateron SMD Yellow
Gateron SMD Green
Gateron SMD Clear
Kailh Box Navy
Kailh Box Jade
Kailh Pro Purple
Kailh Pro Burgundy
Kailh Pro Silver

That leaves 6 switches that I have no idea what they are. They are all labeled as Gateron and Kailh. Does that mean I did not receive that Aliaz or Halo switches? My best guess for names are:
If it was 16 dollars, included the their version of the Holy Panda, I would get it. For 20 bucks I expect 4x5 tray. I went searching for the cheapest I could find each switch and the switches are priced as follows (add .03-.15 went attempting to purchace a single switch):
Cherry MX Blue RGB: $10 of 12 Cherry switches| .83+.12= .95 cents per single switch

Halo True: $5.50 for a pack of 10| .55+.12= .67 cents per single switch
Halo Clear $5.50 for a pack of 10| .55+.12= .67 cents per single switch
So around 10.20 cents if all these switches were bought as single. You have to figure in your local shipping times however many times you ordered individually (but who's doing that, right?). These switches as is should already be being sold at least 4x times as much as they cost to make.
Anyway, I figured I'd save people some time. Is this a good price just for the switches? I don't think so, but I only think the 87 switch tester for 55 bucks is worth anyway. I could understand about 15 dollars, unless it comes with a tray to hold them, which still wouldn't cover another 5 dollars, but hey, everyone has got to make a profit too.
hdsharpe1and for anyone looking, if you're willing to wait KPRepublic has a 130 switch tester for $60.90. It comes with a couple duplicates, but thats okay cause you can take out the duplicates and add your own switches. For the most part all the switches are different!
