ManusdeiThat would be because it is a 110-120V 60hz powered sub. Won't work in Australia without a step-down transformer.

ManusdeiFrom the website: "Voltages 115/230V, 50/60Hz switchable". Audioengine do not ship to NZ/AUS that is why massdrop wont ship either. I don't think this is a good buy however, because the S8 sub doesn't get good reviews.

BruceBannerIt gets good reviews from Audioengine owners, but not from Audiophile blogs when discussing the value (MSRP) since quite a few other options [apparently] blow it out of the water. At this lowest price however it is a solid deal compared to other <$300 options. Plus it has nice aesthetics if that matters to you, while some of the mentioned others are downright fugly or decently larger.

BruceBannernot really most people say its overpriced, and not good value. Dont think i'm hating on audioengine though, bc i bought the audioengine a2+ speakers from massdrop. I think they are a great little speaker, bc of the built in usb dac and small size with good sound. $195 for speakers and a dac is a goodprice if you wanting someone with a small footprint.
