Drop Mech Keys Meetup Recap - Thanks for Visiting!
As you may have seen, we just hosted our first meetup in quite a while here at Drop HQ (Corsair HQ, but they seem to like us enough :) )! It was a blast to get to meet so many enthusiasts local to the bay area—it had been 10 years since I was last hanging out with keyboard nerds in the bay, at KeyCon 2014. We had a great time hosting everyone at the offices, checking out all the very nice boards y'all brought, and sharing some of our own projects/spaces! I knew it would be fun to host in the Game Room when I first saw it in person, but seeing it come to fruition was still so cool. Alright, I'll stop blabbering on now. xD Picture time! (Oh, real quick - there will be more of these! Stay tuned for more info and to catch the next one!)

Here's a vid with the Retro 2 so people can see what it looks like. If you fell in love with the looks of MK Retro 1 at first sight you may not like the Retro 2 as much or at all. If you pause at 1:17 you can see it on a display with the Retro 1 and see the stark difference in looks between the two.

But I like the back lighting, though. For some reason, it reminds me of air traffic control at a busy airport during the night, some time in the 40's or 50's. I really like it!
This is going to be one of those things where you either like one or the other and you'll know which is for you the instant you see them. Which is why I posted the vid with the MK 2. So people would know if they might want to wait for it.
Really, the more inconspicuous, the better!
I'm sorry, if by saying that I sounded sarcastic but there's really no such thing. Keycaps with longer stems and that is NOT STANDARD when it ISN'T a widely used method.
The sight of these caps worn out aren't a pretty sight. Otherwise, the keyboard really looks pretty nice.
