We've continued to be in contact with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've informed us that final preparations will be made on all individual packages this week for shipment to each of you by early next week. As always, we will follow up with them at that time and update the group again once we've confirmed all packages have been sent out!
We are thankful for your continued patience and you can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/1 or earlier if anything comes up.

We've been in touch with the vendor and they've let us know that they are still working to manufacture and prepare the group's order for individual shipment to each of you. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is sent out!

It's a go! The order for the Borah Gear Snowyside 2.0 eVent Bivy was placed just after the drop came to an end. Now our vendor will be working hard to prepare it for shipment to each of you.
As soon as we receive word from the vendor about the shipping schedule, we will update you all with that information.

What's great about this bivy is that one can seal it up, unlike bivies which leave an unsealable opening, perhaps out of concerns about asphyxiation. I've spent 3 or 4 nights getting hammered mercilessly for hours at a time by rain in a 2-layer eVent (this is 3 layer, so more durable) bivy -- the crack of the rain against the bivy, at 11000', was so sharp I was afraid for my hearing-- and stayed dry enough. Also, the netting is detachable, so one less closure system to manage in the dark when it's not mosquito season.

How does the mesh attach? Velcro?

Are both of the strips of velcro that are attached to the bivy the loop side of the velcro so that fabric/clothing does not get caught on the velcro when getting in and out and not using the bug mesh? I have the older model and never liked how often I seemed to snag the velcro on my clothing. The new version looks slick.

How durable is the floor? Would I have to worry about a ground tarp to protect the bottom of the Bivy?

swimjayThe eVent is 3-layer, so it's durable stuff. The silpoly is completely waterproof, and actually has a higher hydrostatic head than even Shield silnylon (top of the line sil). No degradation or smell.
