Versatile IEM with Good Build
Good packaging, accessories and build quality. Top tier resolution and sound stage for IEMs. Very sensitive to eartips and cable, important to try all options to get a good comfortable.
I've listened to campfire trifecta and from memory this Altas holds its own.
Dynamic, large Soundstage and bites in upper ranges.
However, I had to replace cable with sublime PWAUDIO balanced and portable headphone amp class A.
also the iem needs power to drive them for maximum result.
Bargain...
Fitting is the only issue
Amazing , dynamic sound . Most likely my endgame iem

I love punchy dynamic sound with strong bass and sparkly treble . My main headphones setup includes Burson conductor 3r +Feliks audio echo mk2 tube amp , smsl d300 dac + smsl h8s + RNHP clone . My main headphones are LSA hp2 , I also have Fostex th x00 , Denon d7100 , beyerdynamic dr 770 , sivga sv021 and artti t10 iems. These atlas iems are exactly shat I was looking for in sound , strong , punchy , dynamic , elevated bass , clean and sparkly treble without sacrificing mids . kind of Fostex th 900 or kennerton gh50 sound signature . They are not without problems , you have to play with ear tips to find one that is comfortable and doesnt cause driver flex . With some tips driver flex is so bad that you cant listen to music without constantly touching and pushing iems deeper to get sound back ( when you insert it in your ear it creates pressure in ear canal that cuts out the sound ) but once I found correct eartip driver flex have minimal if any impact on sound . I was considering Ziigaat Estrella , doscincos and hype 4 but sound of Atlas is amazing . One important thing , get better eartips or you might have really bad driver flex that causes sound loss or imbalance. I tried clarion and was better then everything included with atlas but real winner for me was Tangzu tang sancai that completely eliminated driver flexing problem .....

A hidden masterpiece - TIP-ROLLING is a MUST!
Campfire Audio Atlas comes fitted with foam tip by default, plus two extra types: E type and marshmallow. The foam tip makes the sound way too bombastic. May be fun for some people but not me. E type tames the bass but sound was somehow veiled. Marshmallow is just too soft to support the stainless steel bodied heavy ass IEM that is Atlas, just doesn't maintain the seal in my ear. So there I was, spent close to 2 hours tip rolling with my existing stash collected from well over a decade of IEM hobby. And settled on a pair from an old LG smartphone bundled IEM years ago, a wide bore short nozzle and thicker silicone. The pair sit in my ear snuggle and perfect.
And how does it sound?
Absolutely sublime. Undoubtedly the main highlight is the bass, so delicious and so deep, it feels as if the rumble resonates from abyss and reaches my bronchi all the way to my heart beating chest. I've never had an IEM doing this! Simply the best bass I've experienced from an IEM so far. Yet somehow highs are luscious with sparkle and never hidden behind the pounding bass. The mids so rich and.. analogue. The whole sound is just so damn addictive, it is easy for me to lose the track of time especially when listening to my favourite tracks from my teenage and early adulthood years. So good. I also own several venerable Harman tuned chi-fi IEMs and I'd say in comparison they taste like chicken breast and dry salad. Yes they are good for you but I love medium rare cooked thick juicy steaks with chunky fries and coleslaw and ice cold beer which feels what Atlas is in food sense to me. Except Atlas won't give me diabetes or heart condition.
Ps: for fun I swapped with balanced cable on the tube amp I have. The sound stage expanded at least two notches further and the bass feels like a sledge hammer with even better control! The scaling on this IEM!
Pps: I'm posting this review soon after ordering another pair. I love Atlas so much I want to keep a backup pair just in case. I'm convinced that whoever created Atlas at Campfire Audio is not just an engineer, but is an artist. Atlas is a masterpiece.

Definitively a Classic Flagship Basshead
I have already other flagships IEM such as the Hifiman RE2000, CFA Andromeda Classic, and IMR Dark Matter.
Definitively this is an special IEM, it requires some hours of burn-in and proper ear tip rolling, once this is done, it is definitely a class-leading fun IEM to listen for Hours,
The large sound stage, tonal timber, high detail retrieval, and fun presentation make this IEM one that I can listen to for hours. For the current price, its one of the best deals in the market. My favorite part is the imaging an sound stage that provide me with a clear front image of every song I listen to, it is specially evident in classical music.
I understand the fit could be a problem so I recommend default Dunu S&S Eartips and Alza Xelastec to fix this potential problem. The IEM sounds amazing even from the humble Apple Dongle, it gets better with better sources but it sound pretty good even with a basic source.
leoath27The best ear tips that worked for me and eliminated driver flex completely on atlas was Tangzu tang sancai . Highly recommend it , no more imbalance or lost sound in my atlas caused by driver flex ....
The Atlas is a smaller IEM which I found comfortable to wear when walking.
The sound is 'fun', a bit bass heavy and brighter in the mids. This is fine in some louder environments.
I like to cable, there is a bit more noise than over the ear, but I find it easier to wear when moving around.
The smaller size calls a little less attention than a Supermoon or other big IEM. Better for a somewhat expensive object.
It's not what I want to wear for long seated listening sessions, I favor the Andromeda ES for that.

Atlas is great, but..
I thought the Atlas were simply great earphones. The plug part had deteriorated a little because it had been stored in a warehouse, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. There were no problems with the accessories either. The reason I lowered the rating is because the price dropped by $100 right after I bought it.I emailed them about it 8 hours after purchasing, but they refused to cancel or adjust the price.I have never experienced such a sad transaction before. We request a flexible response.
Thank you.
DilmudThey always do this that's why am afraid to buy anything from them anymore thinking they might drop the price a day later as it happened to me and they refuse to give me back the extra money they took from me
Nice-Looking and Great Sounding IEMs but everything else is a bit scuffed
First, the IEMs themselves, the sound is great and I think they look very beautiful with the included cable. This is my first pair of IEMs and I enjoy the audio quality quite a bit over my WH-1000XM4 and HD 558s in all scenarios. They shine especially well in loud or noisy situations like the most intense action scenes of Godzilla Minus One, the loudest tracks from the experimental hip-hop of Death Grips or JPEGMafia, and I'd say the sound is just about as perfect as it gets for listening to jazz and big band with the incredible fidelity. But, the first big problem is achieving that great sound. I'd rather use silicon tips, like the Final Type Es that come with the Atlas, but the driver flex does not permit this. Though comfy, they vacuum too well and I have not found it possible to maintain a balanced listening experience with anything besides the stock foam tips.

The foam tips allow for amazing sound and avoid any driver flex perfectly well, but they can really be uncomfortable during long listening periods. I have found myself getting used to them slowly and seemingly zeroing in on how to position them most comfortably in my ear, but they are not nearly as comfortable as my over-ears. Below you can see them with the largest pair of included foam tips. They came equipped with the medium sized foam tips and there were also a smaller pair of foam tips included as well as a selection of stock silicon tips as well as the aforementioned Type Es included.

For packaging and accessories, I'm not the type to care about cardboard or paper boxes but if you are I would warn that my box came pretty scuffed with some scratches, beat corners, and grime on it. And the plastic it was in was untouched so it must've been wrapped that way.
search
The cable that came with these seems to be a top of the line cable and it feels quite nice versus other cables and I have no major complaints except for that their is quite a bit of grime (corrosion?) on the jack plug. I tried cleaning it with 70% alcohol wipes but that doesn't seem to be doing anything to help. Fortunately, it seems this staining is only cosmetic and does not seem to affect sound quality no matter which direction the plug is in.

Last and unfortunately worst is the carrying case the Atlas came in. Unzipping it for the first time it was stuck shut from what I guess is the leather inside having been unbent for a seemingly long time. It wasn't opening any more than a couple mm so I tried to help it open, attempting to brace the inner lining with my finger tips, but it just popped right off the dried glue inside the case wall. Doesn't seem like it was ever glued on very well or possibly had been left shut for too long. There are also two rips/tears/openings on either side of the bottom of the lining in the carrying case. They don't seem intentional and overall the quality of this inner lining of the carrying case is unacceptably poor. The outside of the case is fairly nice and the only other thing with the case that I'd complain about is that the zipper gets stuck easy and has a hard time rounding the corners.

Overall, it's hard to complain a ton with how much I like the sound. The Atlas came with a manufacturer warranty but I haven't started going through the trouble of contacting Campfire Audio and finding out how good their support is, but I am considering it.
