I have Pilot custom 823 fountain pen. It is 148,4 mm long. Does It fit inside this storage box? (with two smaller pen) I also want another box for my watch but shipping for one box is 21.75$ and for two 47$.Ville1303 Funny. Anyway I can make two separate order of I want to save some $.
Hey, I remember doing your engraving! All is well. The parts are all out for anodizing right now. Once we receive them back, pressing in the magnets will take less than a day, so I'm hoping we'll get the parts back soon and can ship them out in short order.
CarbonTacticsThank you very much Mike. You know, of all the drops I've been a part of, you kindly respond to everyone. Thank you! And...keep laughin' and shakin' your head to all the people who dont want or need a box, but yet they still cant keep from talkin' sh*t. Btw..."I dream without fear". Have a great evening Sir.
KbexHi Kbex, I just saw you got your answer :) For anyone else wondering, the custom text goes where it says “MASSDROP” in the sample picture. Without custom text, the box is blank on the outside. Let me know if you have any other questions!
I'd like to see some examples of custom engraving - it's not clear from the description whether or not the word "MASSDROP" is still engraved or if that word is replaced by custom text. Also, what happens to the bottom line of text? Are the 20 letters spread between the 3 lines? (i.e. top, middle & bottom)? Can the size of text (Small/Large) and position (line(s) 1,2 or 3) be defined? Thanks.
Also, I think it's a bit of a tease to see writing on 3 different lines in the pics - but then only offer text on ONE line :-( If you offered 3 lines of text (with up to 20 characters on each line) you'd probably get a whole lot more orders. No? :-)
A couple of thoughts:
- one of the cover engraving options should be a standard and metric rule, and possibly some other measuring tools (protractor, etc).
- the gasket idea mentioned earlier is a good one.
- if there was a way to mont the box to something else (threaded screw holes, magnets, some kind of quick release plate that attaches to the back...) it could be useful as a hidden cache.
On the down side the weight really precludes this being a piece of EDC. its primarily a desk toy right now.
Has the previous one of these shipped yet? I got an update on Jul 21 saying that the lowest price has been unlocked, but I've heard nothing since then.
DCJCYes, and I could CNC cut a vaccuum injection mold housing to create a rectangular o-ring channel to form a flourosilicone UL508 elastomer seal, then cut a matching seal in the top and bottom then re-anodize the channel. But at that point, I should've just billet machined one from scratch, installed a pressure release valve, some compression latches and made it 1000m water tight. I think i will just go make toast.
