I'm getting another for a patina project. Hard to beat this price for a copper handled knife, and it's put together decently well.

It is very nice looking knife. I know I would never carry it though at that weight. I just ordered the aluminum handled Bailout and am pretty sure that will move into the top of EDC rotation.

I received mine with an exploded silica gel packet. Tried contacting support but haven't heard anything back. a simple cleaning would fix it but i dont really want to void the warranty to clean a knife i received a day ago.

Done. I would have bought more Artisans if they were styled the way CJRBs are styled.

Same! The wharncliffes, sheepsfoot, and modified variants with metal handles is hitting all kinds of check boxes for me. Their main line is nice, but I like some weight to the knife at a decent price. Ti does not cut it, and their copper/brass seems decent from the few folks I've talked to. I may be buying a little sampler bundle here pretty quick!

They do have some blade grinds and geometries that I'm steering clear of, more like their old Artisan stuff. But the majority of it seems solid and well proportioned.

Guessing $49.00 for copper is an accidental omission of the standard price mark up ? Or did Artisan strike a copper vein I haven't read about ?

I mean is it really that great? I found this after a google search that took all of 2 seconds. https://www.chicagoknifeworks.com/cjrb-barranca-linerlock-copper/.

No, with the free shipping here probably about the same. The comments are more related to the method used here to advertise the price. Eg. Displaying the copper variant with the $39 price , then finding out the copper is $10 extra and the G10 is the $39 .
