I'm naturally a very worried person in my senior year of high school, so when I saw this, I knew that I had to get it. I love tech and things like that and love having something to fidget with, so this seemed like just the thing. When it came, I played with it all the time, and brought it to school everyday. It even helped my grades improve and it was a great conversation starter. Unfortunately, one day that I brought it to school, I lost it. I believe that someone took it (maybe out of jelously, maybe out of spite) but I have yet to find it. 10/10 would by again if I wasn't the kind of person to do the exact same thing again.
For the price, the quality is actually a little better than I anticipated. This is definitely a fun little fidget toy to clickity-clack with. Once assembled, the switches/keycaps remain in place pretty securely, even without the stabilizer, so there's not much worry of them falling out accidentally. With the stabilizer installed the switches apparently become very difficult to remove, if you're worried about that. Personally, I like that I have the option to replace the switches if I want, though I haven't bothered to yet.
First off this is a toy and nothing more. With that said, I think it's really cool. I treat it like a stress ball at work, and a lot of people ask me what it is.
Build quality is good, easy to put together and is customizable. So if you don't have a lot of parts laying around, the kit will come with every thing you need. But for me I changed the switches and keycaps to fit my taste.
Would highly recommend if you like to have something to do with your hands and also like mechanical switches.
Sometimes I bring it with me to show friends different switches or play with it at the desk. Easy to take apart and put in your own switches you have laying around too.
I got these switches:
Cherry Silent Red
Gateron Clear
Cherry Green
Kailh Blue
Greetech Brown
Cherry Brown
I didn't get the Greetech Red mentioned in the description. While caps are supposed to be random, I didn't get any repeated color, which is nice.
