Am I the only one who was expecting something more... substantial? I was expecting thicker, heavier wood.

exodiousYeah I was disappointed with the feel of mine too. I had to superglue the pegs inside aswell, they popped out as i was fastening the screws.

I felt the same thing when I assembled mine, but I took some steps to address it before I damaged it by mistake.
I made a point to take the pressure off the screws/posts themselves while tightening by clamping the two pieces together, tighten the screws to just a bit over finger tight, then remove the clamps and everything expands/sets into place nicely.
