Drop or Massdrop used to be about either great drops at great discounts, or in house creations that worked better and were cheaper than what’s out there . Not stuff like this. Now the prices are stupid high, and discounts are like less than $5. What’s happening Drop?
Very funny. Elex is $600 and koss 95x is $400, not to mention 4xx and 6xx on constant sale. If yall got what you wanted just be happy and save your money
I'm flattered that this item triggered you so much you wanted to respond again.
I was actually thinking about purchasing it yesterday, if only it had a mic. Hope that gives you nightmares.
Waitaminute.jpg The black one is a litz wire but the clear one isn't? The black one is a litz wire at this price?
Now, I just want to clarify, the litz is individually enameled strands within each wire bundle? Also, which type of litz?
As a note, I've built litz cables for my headphones, with a solder pot, I just wanted clarification from Drop, because that's a heck of a price if that's the case.
That’s not what he’s being called out on. He’s being called out for spamming the thread with the same gawddang comment, with the same cynicism and snark, over and over again. The first time was ok, even funny and useful. The 8th time was none of those. Know the difference.
Thank god for this, this cable is very different than any cheap $10 cable, this one make my $5 iem sound way better than my brother $3000 focal headphone.
Totally recommended for those who wanna waste their money.
TheLegends27I know this is a troll post but why does it matter if people want to buy cables? I don't think Drop is suggesting that the audio experience will be improved, and for chifi iems specifically, these are more likely to be built as advertised. Some chifi manufacturers have been exposed to be lying about their cable specifications. I hope drop makes an Mmcx version as well
Seriously @Drop+Audiophile? You're using the cheap Chinese build, and charging premium price?
Why the hell would anyone buy this cable when they can get an 8 or 16 core built by the **SAME** people in China, but costing significantly less? I speak of the Tripowin C8 and Zonie (or Linsoul HC-08 and HC-09).
Thanks but no thanks.
LMAO trying to charge $85 for a basic copper cable with shitty plastic connectors. Talk about a rip off. You can literally buy the Faaeal 4 core high purity copper cable with metal connectors and a much more premium build, look and feel for sub $20 or the Nicehck copper cable for about $30. This cable is a serious rip off.
He said the 28AWG-ish quad braid copper cables priced at $85 are worth $40-45, which is probably about right. I wouldn't pay for these in a million years.
GuyInPittsburghThey think they're smart because they can source cheap shit product and put a markup on it; like one of these Drop palookas said on the 6XX 2.5mm cable thats the same as the bone stock 3.5mm except for the termination "this is a good deal if you compare to other 2.5mm cables" yeah right, ppl posted cables that go for less with way better quality.
"A good pair of IEMs is only as good as its cable. " lol. only if you're an audiofool, because according to the laws of physics, that's about as BS of a statement as they come. has this become snakeoil.com overnight?
i was obviously not talking about the ergonomics/usability, and i'm more than reasonably confident the audiofool author of the article wasn't either ;)
you should brush up on your physics and how cables "work", because that's about as dumb of a statement as i've seen an audiofool make. by the time the cable makes a difference in the transmission of this type of signal, it's so long it defeats any kind of reasonable definition of "headphone cable" 'cause you're now listening to your setup across the street from your source
Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't there 2 different pin spacings on 2 pin cables? Which one's are these??? Shouldn't that information be posted on the listing? Did I just miss it???
JohnmightymIt's kind of there but it's not intuitive. If you look at the list of iem's they say are compatible with this cable, you will see that they all use a 0.78mm 2-pin connection.
