Product Description
When you bought an Apple Macintosh computer in the early 1990s, you received the Apple Extended Keyboard II (AEKII) along with it. While it may seem ordinary by modern standards, it was this very keyboard that would become a benchmark for future full-size boards—a legend of its time and still today Read More

Hey! Super excited to finally be able to run this project :) I will modify this article with future updates. Thank you very much to everyone involved who made this project possible By the way, huge thanks to @Oblotzky for the amazing work on the renders <3

Ok so I did some digging (and briefly got caught in a rabbit hole of the ol' zamb hub tvk drama lol) and found that extended 2048 renders are using GMK's L9 color which, in the description here, is called "cream-colored". The Serika page describes its colors as "creamy beige". I'm assuming that biip saying GMKs L9 was used in the renders because mt3 is making the keycaps in the exact same color, just not GMK of course. Zamb has a whole blog post about the GMK serika colors here (https://zambumon.com/2018/06/06/serika-update-5/) and in that you'll see he did not use L9 but a very similar custom color. If you go to the blog post from him about mt3 serika here (https://zambumon.com/2019/07/02/mt3-serika-goes-live-in-august/) you'll see that he was able to get a 1:1 color match from GMK serika to the mt3. TL;DR: After reading all that, I guess mt3 Serika is supposed to be "less beige" than L9 so they are similar but different and that would bother me a bit if they were on the same board or something lol but really in hand it might not be that visibly different. I guess it depends on what you’re comparing them for.

I like the icons I wanted to see if I could add some to my existing serika caps. I would getthe alpas as well but I don't like that they italicized. I love the way the katakanas look but, unfortunately Its not my language. Thanks for your help.

It's possible to make a 2.5u spacebar?

Does anyone know which keyboard is pictured in photo #3? It looks like a great layout!

I believe that's a polycarbonate HB-CP. The layout in general is called the CP layout and it's fairly similar to the 1800 layout (though with fewer keys above the numpad)

Any chance of getting these two keys in the ISO/Intl kit? They've been part of the standard mac UK keyboard layout for as long as I can remember and they're never included in any kits.

Wait, does the Nomad kit really include a 2.25u spacebar but not a 2.75u one? So the kit basically does not have compatibility for the majority of non-ortho small boards, and you'd have to also get the spacebars kit to have a 2.75u space? This seems like a huge oversight, given how common 2.25/2.75 split space is. This issue was brought up in the original geekhack IC as well, but there was no official response... would be nice to hear from @biip about this.

Yeah, I was very excited for this set, and I still am, but I feel like this would leave a very vague but noticeable bitter aftertaste tbh. Well, it sure is too late, so I ordered the bars, and said why not, and added a homing kit just to convince myself that the added shipping cost isn't just due to the flaw in the nomad kit.
Nevermind, the label is wrong. The nomad kit features a 2.75u convex key, not a 3u one. My bad.

Hi! Any possibility for korean roots added? Would be amazing if it was available too and would be an ideal set.. I was thinking of just adding some stickers next to the letters but....stickers arent as nice as them being actually printed haha

R2 TAB-KEY (1.5U) is missing in the Accent Modifiers Kit........ In fact. no R2 Keys are provided in the Accent Modifier kit, all together. Is it a mistake or intentional ? The above mentioned is the only missing key required to complete my 60% keyboard with (Alphas + Accent Modifiers + Space kit).

So stoked about this! Gonna run this with a silver GMMK Pro and a coiled Zap "old-school retractable cable." Only trouble is, I can't choose between a gray cable (closer to the 80s keyboards the caps are based on) or a clear cable (to refer back to the late 90s/early 00s Apple keyboards). The gray would make this a more consistent build but the clear would make it a kind of cool combo of three Apple design eras—the caps giving the 80s vibes, the cable a 90s vibe, and the silver aluminum matching the modern Apple design language. Would love to hear what other folks would think. In any case, thanks biip for putting this together, can't wait to type on these.

My two cents are that the clear cable will be a better pairing with the gmmk since its a bright silver color. Then all three things will be light in tone.

I took my order at the beginning of the gb, with the initial special price. Now I realize that I need another spacebar kit, but i don't want to delete my order (make a new order with the add of spacebar kit, and have full price for other kits) or pay double shipment (for a new order with only spacebar kit). Is it possible to change my order? I opened a request to drop, but no response for now.
