Do I need a plate for this? If so, I cant seem to find a plate to match

W1ggy26plate is integrated into the top of the case. You possibly need to get a diffuser, PCB, stabilizers, switches, and keycaps, depending on the equipment you already have.

Wow, at those prices I guess I won't be changing the case color on the entire pre-built I got on sale for Cyber Monday for just $5 more. Also I agree with everyone here that wants more colors. I'm sure someone likes these colors, but I think they are all ugly. Edit: I see that other cases are available on drop when I do a Google Shopping search, but for some baffling reason you didn't put them all in one spot. Are you trying to lose sales? Edit 2: Oh wait, that's a barebones, so it's $24 more expensive and has a few other things besides the case.

If I buy a case, PCBA, and diffuser, would I just need switches, stabs, and caps to have a complete board?

AphoidAnswering my own question, you need the following to have a complete board:

CTRL case (includes the bolts and the correct size hex key for assembly)
CTRL PCB
diffuser (includes 4 small metal plates that insert into it)
87 MX-style switches (3 pin are easiest, or use a flush cutter to convert 5 pin ones)
5 stabilizers: 4x 2U, 1x 6.25U
keycaps that can fit a TKL
USB-C cable

The hardest part for me was cutting the pins off my 5 pin switches. First thing I did after assembly and testing was reflash the firmware with the VIA compatible version.

AphoidAlso, I can't seem to get the board to work with a USB-C to C cable, only with a USB-A to C one. with the C-C cable, nothing happens. A-C, everything works. This occurs with multiple manufacturer's computers with different OS's.

Does anyone have a view on which of these is the best match for the Susuwatari keyset? I have the Drop Alt with the off-white/cream case that was produced last year and that's a great match... but I'm thinking about getting the Drop Ctrl as well and neither black nor space grey feels like a great match with Susuwatari...
