Drop Mech Keys Meetup Recap - Thanks for Visiting!
As you may have seen, we just hosted our first meetup in quite a while here at Drop HQ (Corsair HQ, but they seem to like us enough :) )! It was a blast to get to meet so many enthusiasts local to the bay area—it had been 10 years since I was last hanging out with keyboard nerds in the bay, at KeyCon 2014. We had a great time hosting everyone at the offices, checking out all the very nice boards y'all brought, and sharing some of our own projects/spaces! I knew it would be fun to host in the Game Room when I first saw it in person, but seeing it come to fruition was still so cool. Alright, I'll stop blabbering on now. xD Picture time! (Oh, real quick - there will be more of these! Stay tuned for more info and to catch the next one!)

If your keyboard turns off, then you might either have not enough power on that USB port or on your Mainboard (which should cause a bluescreen). If your port wont talk to the board anymore, you can start the keyboard (plug it in) with the reset button pressed, then you can reflash default firmware.
It is a security measure, so it could potentially be harmful to your system..
I'd try to put the default first to 165, then 200, then 255. The difference on the last steps is minimal.
If you plug the board into your monitor, be sure to disable your motherboards support to make USB Keyboard signals to PS/2 Interrupts if you have that option, otherwise you might experience hanging keys.
1. stepped up the brightness and lowered the dimming thresholds by about 10% so far no blue screens or instability.
2. hell yeah now I can see the legends on my front-printed keycaps!
3. This was my first time programming in C, it's not that scary I'm kind of excited to tinker with some alternative lighting setups now... maybe static key backlight and rgb moving perimeter lights?
4. I'm still kind of bummed out by the space grey, since you're close to the whole project, and they just put out a black ano'd high profile alt... think there's going to be a high profile black ano'd ctrl anytime soon? because that'd be like aesthetically PERFECT.
5. the Halo Trues are a bit too stiff, and I generally like MX blue, but wanted something quieter. I get some issues where the stabilizers jam on off-center shift/backspace presses. Maybe if i swap to wire stabs for the shift keys. or blues it might alleviate the mechanical jamming? idk, I might just swap switches for browns unless there's an black ano hi-profile alt coming out?
6. @DarkMio You're the man, thank you for your help x1000000
