I love the idea behind this design but I have a quick question. Regarding the bottom corners of the the inner tent, are they staked or do they attach to the fly?
scottvt98The four bottom corners of the inner clip to the four corners of the fly, so no stakes needed.
The inner connects to the fly at the four corners and the two peaks (there are small buckles at the peaks, lighter clips at the bottom corners). Normally the inner stays connected inside the fly, so once you pitch the fly the inner is already inside and ready to go. But sometimes in very humid conditions if the fly has a lot of condensation, then you may prefer to remove the inner and pack it up separately to keep it dry.
The bottom corners of the inner have a loop of shockcord right at the corner (to add some elasticity/tension to the system) and then a length of cord with a clip on the end. If you want to setup just the inner without the fly, then you can stake out the inner using these shockcord loops.
