These are by far the best set of keys I own. They look great especially with the royal blues really popping out with out being too overbearing. I opted for these over any GMK sets because they basically were half the cost but the same feel and quality.
It was a great compliment to my Jelly Epoch keyboard.
One of my favorite set makes its way to DCX. Overall, I don’t really have anything bad to say about DCX, and I am someone who is highly critical of things I spend a lot of money on. I’ve found something I was unhappy with on just about every GMK set I’ve owned and I am known to overanalyze things literally with a magnifying glass. Up until now I’ve had to live with it because it falls within “spec”. I really think that over time DCX is going to become a fan favorite of this hobby due to its incredibly high quality and affordable price. Did I mention a full base kit including numpad and covering just about any layout on the market is just $99 retail? DCX has no spurs or mold markings, higher quality and QC than GMK with better packaging, and will be in-stock at a great price. These will come highly recommended from me.
Nice texture - and a beautiful colorway. The "matching" coil cable is a bit off colorwise (a brighter blue compared to the keycaps) - which kind of makes the totality a bit less.
Would love an artisan escape-key to match as well :)
Cheaper and more available than GMK - while still having a very similar feeling - (and a better proportioned ^-key!).
Everyone else is comparing these to GMKs but I don't think that's really fair. Yes they are Cherry profile, but the feel and sound is still a little different. The feel of these keycaps is no where close to the feel of GMK keycaps. But that doesn't mean that they are bad. These are really good keycaps for what they are. A Cherry profile Doubleshot ABS keycap set with really good quality For ~$99 is a REALLY GOOD DEAL. There are also so many different color options that are offered and more on the way.
DCX caps have been consistently high quality, they have a unique sound, higher pitch than PBT and even GMK ABS caps. Very smoothe to the touch, says shine resistant but that’s because they are all already more shiney than other plastics. Starting to see more variety in colorway. Wish we could get mac mod support or novelties in upcoming sets. Also wish more designers would consider making in DCX also.
I bought the MT3 set in this colorway a while back and got used to the profile because how much I loved the colorway. I messaged Drop before DCX was even announced asking if they had any plans for a Cherry profile Camillo set... and I nearly lost my mind when it was announced. The quality of the DCX caps are fantastic and over extended use they hold up similarly to other brands out there. They also don't suffer in the sound department although they do have a slightly higher pitch vs. GMK sets. I'd highly recommend this set along with any other DCX sets.
Nice color and build but font, letter spacing / kerning let's it down.
I like the color and the build of the DCX range, and camillo is one of my favorite color combos, but after closely inspecting it with the three other DCX sets that I bought during a recent sale, it looks like they all have font/letter spacing/ kerning issues (especially the 'enter' keycap) and it looks like a problem with the whole DCX range.
For a keycap set retailing at this price, the fonts and the letter spacing / kerning should be near perfect. I'm sufficiently unimpressed that I would think twice about buying another DCX set until this issue is resolved.
Got this one a buy one get one deal and the quality is great and I love the look of this set and how well it goes with so many different colors of keyboard. Highly versatile and a pleasure to type on.
