Another fix for quiet sound
Luckily before returning these I checked here and plugged the cable all the way in and that fixed the left earcup being too query problem. But the signs was still quiet, even at max volume. If you are plugging them In the front jack, What you need to do is go to the realtek audio app and click on the option that disables the 2 separate motherboard Jacks when a front jack is connected. Fixed my problem and they sound better than ever. Truly amazing headphones.

The Default Option
I've owned the OG PC37X for close to 6 years and they're still going strong, decided to upgrade to this finally for the more extended bass response and improved soundstage, most in audiophile circles tend to recommend using a separate mic and headphone, but I much prefer the convenience of having the mic built in, besides I often prefer my IEMs and speakers for music, though I do wish the mic was somehow removable.
I'm not a huge competitive gamer, In fact most of the games I play are single-player, but I do play a lot of PVE/MMO games so having a mic is still a plus, and the extended bass response makes them more immersive while retaining the clarity, but even if you are looking for something to hear footsteps this will get the job done very well, they're not really 'wall-hack' level as some might say, although if you are obsessive about that, you might want to get something like the HD800s lol.
Comfort is generally great, the fact it is open-back gives you the plus of breathability, although If you wear thick framed glasses, the clamping force can create some discomfort, but they do break in after a while, although they do have less clamping force then my 37x out of the box.
Despite me owning other headphones/iems, I still reach out for these when gaming and chatting, being able to mute the mic by putting it away, and the volume wheel are great features which make it a great headset as well as an actually pretty good headphone that I would I argue comes pretty damn close to high-end headphones, honestly, I would argue you would have to start going into the 500-1000 range for headphones with better sound, headphones at this range are more like preferential tuning 'side-grades' or if you just don't like the mic being always attached. They're not a slouch for music either, they can sound so good to the point where you forget this is a gaming headset, the soundstage really creates a more exciting listening experience. You don't really need an amp for these, your motherboard/controller will suffice, although I would recommend it as you can get more volume with less distortion and better clarity, which can improve details like footsteps. I'm using my Fulla 3 which I also had for close to 5 years, although I am considering upgrading it.
They are a bit plasticity, but it's some really good plastic, given I've owned the PC37x for six years as I said, which I did not baby at all, I dropped them without a scratch and the and have the mic mute click is still as tactile as day one, given similar quality, I expect the same from these. The one thing the bothers me most though, is the cable, the one on my 37x has kinked quite a bit, and I expect that to happen with this one, as for some reason manufacturers insist on packaging it folded in instead of a loop, I might actually try to use a hair dryer to straighten it this time.
I would basically consider this the default/best option for any gamer who has any sort of interest in higher fidelity audio, yet want to maintain the convenience of a headset as most gaming headsets have bloated bass in their tunings. Beware though, as they can be a gateway to the audiophile grade stuff, as this might be the first taste of 'good headphones' for a lot of people, the 37x were certainly for me.

Good for hassle free simplicity
Open back helps with using hearing your surrounding, while the more than standard impedance helps with actually using the whole range of the volume control your PC has to offer. Great for laptops especially, because of a single cable included in the box. Mic quality is top notch as well.
TLDR; Definitely not audiophile grade, but the best in class.

A cheaply made copy of a great design, but still with a premium price.
I have used the Sennheiser Game Zero and Game One headsets that these are supposed to be the successor to as my daily use headsets for a decade. I was in need of a replacement and found to my disappointment that Sennheiser had stopped making them and the design had gone to other manufacturers a few years back. Online reviews assured me these were practically identical to the Game One, acoustically and design-wise, possibly even an upgrade...
I was dismayed when I received these and immediately saw/felt how cheap and absolutely not the same these are compared to the real thing. The plastic is noticeably cheap and stiff, with rough/sharp edges on everything, and the cushioning on the headband and ear pads is also made of cheaper/stiffer material, which combines to have increased clamping force that was bad enough to give me a headache. The pads on the earphones are also slightly miss-sized and too small for the frame, so the jagged plastic edge that the pads should extend to but don't is very noticeable. The obvious downgrade in materials and manufacturing quality gives me serious doubts about the durability as well.
These are like someone tried to make the Game One for a fraction of the cost by cutting corners on quality and materials, but still sold them at a premium price point. Maybe they're passable for someone that doesn't know what the real thing was like, but I am beyond disappointed.

Great headset (even better than the PC37X).
Excellent build quality, sound quality, comfort. All-round fantastic headset.
Comfortable for very long gaming sessions, good balance between bass and treble, so you can hear enemy footsteps in shooters, and even good enough drivers for music listening.
As a professional audio engineer, even I'm surprised how decent the mic is (the semi-openback earphones are also superb for the price).
I had the PC37X for about six years and it started developing a few minor issues. I was able to fix it, but I thought I'd treat myself to an upgrade at Christmas. Very pleasantly surprised - didn't expect any noticeable difference, but it's actually a fair bit better-sounding.

Heavy use.
The open sound stage is amazing for directional audio.
They do lack in the base department but its not terrible. Unfortunately the left ear started buzzing and the mic it's self came apart at the joint. But I will be getting another pair at this price you aren't really getting a better all in one headset. Open back means no noise canceling, but if you have a gf she won't get ignored.

WARNING! Open-back headphones = ZERO noise cancelling.
The mic works fine which I think is the main reason why most people are buying this headphone but holy hell, a $170 headphone with no noise cancelling is just atrocious. I have better noise cancelling with shitty $10 headphones I use for my phone than this. As I am typing this, I can hear my computer's fan going, the clicky clack of my keyboard and the crickets outside my closed window.
After looking at some of the other reviews saying it's open back not closed back then looking up what that means. Ok, I kind of understand but at the same time, I'm not a headphones guy and I just went off of people's recommendations online. I don't understand why anybody would recommend this, at least not without mentioning the lack of noise cancellation. I didn't search for an open-back headphones. I just searched for a headphone with good mic. None of the people in online forums mentioned that this is a problem/supposed feature. I had no clue open-back headphones is even a thing until now.
At least you can return this, I'm going try to return/refund it and if the return was smooth and successful, I'll change this to a 4* review since I will admit that this error was due to my lack of knowledge on the subject.
Return was successful and return label was free.

Incredibly cheap feeling for the price
Cons
- They used the cheapest materials to make this thing. Everything feels cheap, from the volume knob with zero resistance, the cheap feeling hollow plastic shell, the ear pad and headband "foam" material, to the weight. By no means is this the worst build quality but it definitely does not reflect the price
- The clamping force is insanely high, way way way too high for a headset meant to be worn at a desk. It gives me headaches to wear these for long periods of time
- The ear pads are too thin and firm, especially given the clamping force
- The cable is too short, I had to buy an extender
- The price does not in any way justify what was delivered. Even the Sennheiser GSP series headsets that retail for less feel more premium
- The audio quality, I guess. It's no better or worse than any other pair of Sennheiser headphones retailing for this price, except the bass is too punchy IMO, but that's personal preference.
- Open back audio, which may be a pro or con for you but for me it is a pro since I like situational awareness when on a call or in a game
