From its clean dial and diver’s bezel to its high water-resistance rating and reliable Swiss-made movement, the Glycine Combat Sub is a favorite of the watch community. It’s been released in different colors and finishes, but never before with this one-of-a-kind combination. This Drop-exclusive version of the Combat Sub has everything you loved about the original, only now it features a two-toned "soda" bezel reminiscent of the red and blue colorway popularized in the 1960s. Also notable is the cyclops eye to magnify the date window and the reversion to the original Glycine logo—throwback changes that will delight any vintage watch lover. Crafted with a stainless steel case and a sapphire crystal with a triple dose of anti-reflective coating, the timepiece works as hard in the depths of the ocean as it does in an important meeting.

Established in 1914 by Eugène Meylan, Glycine traces its roots back to Bienne, Switzerland, the watchmaking capital of the world. Originally, Glycine was a movement manufacturer, but during the 1930s it launched its own line of timepieces. Later, in 1953 came the debut of the well-known Airman line, a collection of GMT watches with 24-hour analog dials and rotating bezels, used frequently by military and commercial pilots. The 1960s saw the release of the Combat Sub, a diver that soon became the brand’s calling card—for good reason. Today, Glycine has expanded its lineup to include a wide range of timepieces, but it still operates out of its headquarters in Bienne, Switzerland.
