Drop + Matt3o /dev/tty MT3 Custom Keycap Set
From the IBM Terminal to the Desktop
Based on the profile from the iconic IBM beamspring terminals of the 1970s, this custom set is fully sculpted from dye-sublimated PBT in Hi-Profile. What's Hi-Profile, you ask? Many computer terminals of old were constructed with a slanted switch layout from front to back. Because of that slant, the keycaps sat at an angle atop the switches, too. This set is a reimagination of that unique slanted build, but optimized for modern keyboards. Thanks to some significant design work from Matt3o, 3D modeling, and a whole lot of elbow grease, we're proud to bring these innovative caps back for a second run.
Dye-Sublimated PBT Construction
Made from PBT plastic, this MX-compatible set is both long lasting and resistant to the shine that develops after prolonged usage. The legends are dye-sublimated so they won’t fade over the long haul. As for the layout, the set comes with two separate bottom row profiles for those who want a flat bottom row or prefer an angled one. The colorway is a combination of neutral grays and colorful accents for a subtle look on your favorite board.
Base Kit
The Base Kit supports TKL, 60%, 65%, and 75% keyboards. It includes a 7u spacebar with 1.5 modifiers, as well as both a slanted and a flat bottom row. This kit is available in the Beige and Triumph colorways.
Numpad Kit
The Numpad Kit includes both flat and slanted bottom rows. This kit is available in the Beige colorway.
Ortholinear Kit
An enhanced kit compared to previous runs. It gives even more options for Preonic, Planck, and other ortholinear layouts.
Extra Mods Kit
The Extra Mods Kit is an essential kit for custom and exotic keyboards. It also supports Caps Lock swapping with Control and FN. This kit is available in the Beige colorway.
Japan Kit
The Japan Kit is available only as an add-on for the base kit. It features Japanese characters on letter, number, and modifier keys.
Unicorn Barf (RGB) Kit
Because life is not black and white. The Unicorn Barf kit features vibrant modifiers in six colors and two unicorn-themed novelty keys.
Apple Kit
The Apple Kit features Mac-specific legends. This kit is available in the Beige colorway.
Lost + Found Kit
The Lost + Found Kit features a host of novelties to spice up your keyboard. This kit is available in the Beige colorway.

With this set, he saw an opportunity to explore the possibilities of Hi-Profile.
