this replaced my black steelseries desk mat. it's noticeably higher quality. the edge stitching is well done, the graphics are crisp, and it looks awesome. the slightly rubbery bottom also keeps it from sliding around which is nice. if you like the look, go for it. the quality is just as great.

The ares colorway looks vibrant in person. I didn't notice any color fade, as others have. But to nitpick, there is one spot where the edge stitching looks a little jumbled. Besides that, I'm overall happy with the mat.

Whats the best way to clean this mat?

I recommend You do this is a bathtub but the same steps are taken when using a sink. First clean the bathtub you don't need to use any harsh chemicals just rinse it the sides and floor with water to make sure no dirt or anything will get on the mouse mat. Proceed by placing the mouse mat in the bathtub and start running either cold or Luke warm water then stop the water and add your soap of choice to the top of the mouse mat. You should now have a mouse mat with a water soap mixture on top of it proceed by taking the sponge soft side down and going in a circular motion at the area were the stain is located. Make sure to take your time and don't apply to much pressure once you clean the area [Recommend 2-5 mins of scrubbing] run water over the area were u were scrubbing. Repeat scrubbing process for all areas that need cleaning. Once you are happy with the results and make sure the stains are no longer there proceed by using the towel or paper towels to pat down the mouse mat until a majority of the water is soaked up. Hang mouse mat to dry make sure to NOT PUT IN SUNLIGHT LIT AREAS this will cause damage to the mat recommend you hang in a area that will get a lot of air passing through. Let the mouse mat air dry for 48 hours before use. Enjoy :)

The production run for the deskmats was completed about a week ago and we've just received samples of the production units. Bottom line, the colors aren't up to our standards so we've ordered an entire reprint. We are expecting the Ares Deskmat to finish production on July 15th and the Monochrome Deskmat to finish production on July 20th. For the Apollo and MiTospeed Deskmats, we are still waiting on the factory to provide us with an expected production finish date. As soon as we hear back about the remaining timelines, we’ll update the community here. We totally understand that you're disappointed about the delay, but this is a better option than us delivering a sub-standard product. If you're unwiling to continue waiting, you can request a full refund/cancellation via your transaction tab. Otherwise, please hang tight and we'll get the deskmats remade, shipped to the USA, and then shipped to you ASAP. July 21st Update: Looking to get an update from the factory. Just to note, everything is being made, then everything is being shipped out from China to New Jersey, then everything will be shipped to everyone. I think some people may have gotten the idea that their orders for Ares or Monochrome would be shipping really soon, and sadly that isn't the case. I gave the dates of each product just so people could see the manufacturing progress. Should be posting another update in the next 48 hours. July 23rd Update: Latest info from the factory is that Ares and Monochrome are done, MitoSpeed should be done by Aug 1st. The Apollo samples are complete and being shipped to MiTo for final re-approval. July 25th Update: I've spoken to some people around here and twisted some arms and we're trying to split the shipments and get the Ares and Monochrome sent to our warehouse now, and the Mitospeed and Apollo shipped once they're done. This will take a bit of coordination and we're working on it- so no promises but wanted to give you the latest info. Also, I have uploaded some photo's that we grabbed from the production team in China here. August 4th Update: AlexP here again. I'm catching up on everything going on here, but it looks like at least two of the colorways are scheduled for pickup and should ship to our warehouse soon. I'm still getting some details so I'll update again later today as I find out more about specifics. Stay tuned. Follow up: Ares and Monochrome scheduled. Possibly Mitospeed as well. Will keep you posted.

Hmm guess my update post got deleted(I think I forgot to hit post). Update August 13/14th: Few quick updates for everyone. Ares and Monochrome are on their way to our warehouse with a scheduled delivery date of 8/19. Once those show up the warehouse will prepare shipments and start sending them out. Given the situation right now in the world, I'd give the delivery date a +/- of a couple days, but I'll keep everyone up to date as I learn it. Mitospeed production is completed. I'm working to figure out if it's preparing for shipment or coming with the Apollo mats. And lastly, the Apollo colorway was approved and should begin production shortly. I'll be back with more details on the Mitospeed and Apollo mats once I hear more. Update August 18th: The first two colorways(Ares and Monochrome) just received a scheduled delivery date of 8/20 so they should arrive in our warehouse this week. Should be a quick turnaround on these, but I'll post again once they land in the warehouse. Update August 20th: Ares and Monochrome arrived in the warehouse and should be getting ready to ship over the coming days. Maybe see some movement before the weekend, but might be early next week. Working on getting some info for the remaining Apollo and Mitospeed Update August 27th: Sorry for the missed update. Looks like both the Apollo and Mitospeed were picked up yesterday and on their way to our warehouse. The estimated delivery date to the warehouse is currently October 2nd so I would expect to see these start shipping to everyone around October 5thish. I'll confirm that both mats are in this shipment, but assuming everything is fine we'll keep everyone up to date with the current status over the next few weeks. Update August 31st: Alright, I misunderstood the information I was given, but good news. The preorders for Mitospeed are coming by air and will arrive much sooner than I originally said, while Apollo is ready for pick up with an estimated ship date of September 3rd and will also ship preorders by air. The original date is for additional units which are coming by sea. Given the timeline for the Ares and Monochrome, Mitospeed should ship out from our warehouse to everyone closer to September 14th and Apollo be about a few days behind them. Sorry about that! Update September 8th: Keeping an eye on the tracking. Looks like it's at JFK customs right now being processed. Should move from there to our warehouse by Sep 10th where it will be received by our warehouse and processed for individual shipment. Will update if anything changes. Update September 10th: Looks like it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow so it should be received and prepared over the coming days. Based on the turn around times recently, these should start shipping out to everyone by midweek next week. If anything should change we'll let you know.

It's pretty typical for Drop to do this. They should do a new listing to sell the leftovers from the preorders, but they typically don't. If you notice they do this all the time with keycaps, showing sets available but all you can get are like novelties and spacebars.

I don't think anyone should be in an obscure Discord server to receive an update status on the product they ordered, so I apologize for not updating you participants here with my own means before hand, on top of @Kevin usual news. For this week, here's the news I have and I hope it helps alleviate the anxiety:

Update #1 - shared on Discord, August 10th:

There was a miscommunication in the last update (August, 3rd). Contrary to what I said last week, the mats actually arrived at Chinese warehouse not American one. I am sorry for the confusion. Ares/Monochrome and maybe Mitospeed are standing by for freight flight (from China to New Jersey, USA warehouse) so they can be sorted and shipped to everyone. If Mitospeed doesn't go in this flight, it will go with Apollo in another flight. Final Apollo sample is arriving this week for me to sign off. I am eager to receive it and hopefully wrap this up.

Update #2 - shared on Drop and Discord, as of August 17th:

Ares/Monochrome will arrive on USA by August 20th so distribution can start. Apollo sample approved. Once Apollo is finished both Apollo/Mitospeed will fly from China to US. Drop will give everyone an ETA for delivery soon. You can also see a preview of the Apollo mat below - defective on the left and final product on the right.

Update #3 - Drop and Discord, August 24th:

Ares/Monochrome shipping now, Apollo production might get completed this weekend (29th/30th) , to be then shipped from China to USA distribution center together with Mitospeed (which has been completed, it is just waiting Apollo so they come in a single freight). Updates are posted every Monday.

I like the overall vision/concept, but everyone getting confused by the big circle on the left and what it represents is kinda problematic (sun vs the big bang). Adding to the inconsistency is the moon also being thrown in the line up. I would suggest consider removing them both (or the moon at least?) so it's not looking so cramped. That way you also have the space (badum) to consider potentially adding thin circles on the left similar to the previous Godspeed 2 deskmat, which added a nice effect. Drop is just full of delays and mistakes lately. This is the second delay that I get out of the 4 products that I purchased in the last couple of months, plus another package that was lost (and Drop support was a nightmare to reach). I respect the fact that if the colors were off that Drop decided on re-doing them, but wouldn’t it have made more sense to check the quality BEFORE starting the mass production and a long time before the promised ship date? Drop became a big joke and it’s kinda sad

VinylConductorSo predictable delay... Same thing with Mito Laser SA. Production samples should be received well in advance, not 2 days before shipment ... There is a curse around Mito productions. Godspeed Glow Desk Pad I had a false delivery message where as the product was returned to Drop after staying 6 weeks in DHL dispatch.

You'd also think that the "production sample" that they sent us would match the "production units" that came off the line... but you'd be sadly mistaken. Contract manufacturing in China is difficult. Even using the same factory multiple times yields varying results. Top-notch companies like Apple have tons of people in China overseeing every step to keep everything in line. As of January we've recalled all of our employees that were in China, back to America due to COVID (ironically, for their safety...), travel restrictions, etc. Also "Mass production" for many of our products is still a pittance in the grand scheme of things- we're talking about $20k worth of rubber mats, etc.
