Noticed a few slightly rough edges on the bottom of some keycaps, but nothing that looks like a crack. Not noticeable at all once in use. This is my first keycap set from the manufacturer, so unsure if this occasional roughness is expected.
Personally, I do not feel this is severe enough to deduct a star, but for those seeking meticulous perfection in your keycap investment, you may want to consider this in the subsequent drops.
As an SA keycap newbie:
- Satisfying typing so far.
- I really enjoy the SA keycap shape and the exaggerated dip in F and J keys (optional keycaps included).
- After typing on these, I started prefering my keyboard at an incline to meet the top row more satisfyingly. Previously, I used Cherry profile keycaps, with no keyboard incline.
- They sound great. More of a "clunk" than a "clank", to almost of a "thunk" (especially if O-ringed).
- I prefer these with lighter switch springs.
Use-case forming my impression:
- Typing 8 hours a day at work (programming)
- Cherry Brown stems + 45g springs on Cherry Clear switch housing (lubed)
- Whitefox (frame and board) with a replaceable incline/height homebrew mod
- Memory foam wrist rest providing good height adjustment to meet the taller SA keycap profile (recommended)
