We're aware of the keycap error regarding the numerical row "5%" key, and Signature Plastics is working on making replacements to ship out as quickly as possible.
For those who ordered Laser from the "Extras" sets in the past couple of weeks, we'll be holding shipments that include Cyberdeck until the fixed keycap is available and ship everything in a single box.
For people who already received their Cyberdeck sets with the defective keycap, we will be sending out a replacement keycap. Precise ETA isn't available but Signature Plastics is pausing other production projects to slot this fix in, so we're talking probably weeks, not months (subject to the usual COVID uncertainty).
Here's to Cyberdeck 🥂, the most reprinted kit in history (sadly, it isn't).
April 22nd Update: The replacement 5% keycaps are currently scheduled to ship out early next week.
May 1st Update: Not all of these have been shipped yet, but I'm being told they should go out over the weekend.
May 4th update: over 70% of the orders have shipped, more going out later today/tonight, and whatever is left will likely ship on Tuesday May 5th or Wednesday May 6th.
Kevinwell this makes sense. i was wondering why the shipping notice wasnt changing. i understand the holding back of the set, but will there be official updates to the shipping date estimates under our transactions? for reference i got cyberdeck from the extras last month.

That's fine, but why are orders like mine that don't include cyberdeck not being shipped?
zepled112All of the orders, whether they have cyberdeck or not, will likely ship together. "Why" is due to efficiency. Our warehouse is very backlogged right now, everything is being shipped on a delay, and it's more efficient for us to do everything at once. We have thousands of other orders also on hand that are waiting to get boxed out and shipped out. The expected ship date on the "extras" for sale was Friday April 17th, meanwhile we have other orders that are 5 or even 10 business days late. We're doing our best to catch up but social distancing policies, state-wide curfews, and worker absences is making things very challenging.

First of all, you(Drop team) knew all the challenges you will be facing at the time you set the shipping date. All the social distancing etc were with us already and you could just set the realistic shipping date.
Secondly, you just might give us an update when you not shipped on April 17th but you chose to ignore, which is sucks and shows your disrespect to all of your customers.
And thirdly, it's just your usual behavior. I don't remember that you shipped something in time, and you guys almost always forget to give an update in a timely manner. Also, not to mention your Customer Support is the worst I ever have seen.
That's my feelings about the treatment we get. Nothing personal @Kevin but Drop just suuuuuucks!

KevinThanks for fixing this and getting it right in the midst of everything else going on right now. I love this set - the feel and sound of SP R3 sets is a personal favorite.

KevinIt is pretty late on Friday, you said that orders are going to ship today. A lot of people still have not received shipping notifications from what I see (myself included). Can you, please, give us an update on what is going on? It has been 2 weeks since the date these were supposed to ship.
kereokerekekeI'm not Kevin but, my keycaps shipped out today, and for many others it looks like they shipped out yesterday April 30th. My guess is that you should be getting a shipping notification soon.
TheAshKetchumYeah, I saw that, but also quite a few people have not. I got laser alt in the original GB, waited for that for almost a year, now this. There is no communication and that is what pisses me off the most, not the fact the keycaps have not shipped yet.

Mine did not and hasn't shipped yet. I get it, there's a pandemic and warehouse work is restricted right now; I'm patient. I'm just looking to be given the correct expectation :)

KevinHi. I understand that you guys are backlogged on shipping but is it possible for "Returned to Customer" items be held for a few months? I'm more than willing to have it picked up and shipped via DHL Express on my own expense and effort (of booking). I'd rather receive my order than a refund, no matter the amount.
DHL Global Mail operations are limited but afaik, DHL Express still operates 24/7.
RaccatographyBest off contacting support... I do know that because the global courier network is completely messed up right now, basically packages that go "undelivered" end up in a warehouse in Germany somewhere, instead of actually properly going back to the sender...
KevinOther keyboard hobbyists said that Drop instantly refunded "Returned to Customer" items once they brought it up to CS. I understand why better now and that sucks so much. Wish shipping was delayed for customers outside US
RaccatographyOur CS is being very lenient with issues right now because there's so much uncertainty. We're trying our best not to burden customers. I'll flag your ticket to our CS Manager and make sure the situation gets a thorough review.
