I bought these for my black GMMK Pro. I have never used MT3 style keycaps, but they feel amazing for me personally. They do take a little getting used to as they are much deeper than GMKs (cherry profile) for example, but after a week or so I can cruise with them. The added benefit is that either because of the thickness of the plastic used, or the shape of the cap, MT3 profile caps sound absolutely amazing. They have a deeper thonkier sound than you get from GMK caps. They probably aren't for everyone because of the shape, but I would highly recommend giving them a try.

A timeless colorway, a venerable classic design, and a substantial physical presence make these some of the best keycaps you can put on a keyboard - provided an enjoyment of high-profile, of course. It's hard to overstate how good these look and feel - they really are on another level in a number of ways.
So why not five stars?
A small number of keys weren't injected *quite* right, resulting in thinner and/or less consistent legends than intended. I'm a little unhappy with how the Z and S keys look under close inspection, but that's not enough to keep me from absolutely loving this keyset and recommending it whole-heartedly to anyone who enjoys the aesthetic.
Even with the few and minor manufacturing flaws of this particular example, the quality is shoulder-to-shoulder with the very best out there - and if they manage to QC those few kinks out of subsequent runs, I'd easily class MT3 ABS as the overall highest quality keys you can put on an MX-compatible switch.
ABS is the type of plastic. It is prone to getting shiny over time, but some greatly prefer the feel and sound that the plastic provides.
Doubleshot means that there are actually two plastics used in their creation. One for the legends, and one for the body of the keycap. The image below shows the white legend plastic underneath the black keycap plastic. A doubleshot keycap means that the legends can't wear away.
A keycap profile is a descriptor of its shape. See below:
The MT3 profile is closer to SA (it's a tall keycap), but has some distinct differences. Designed to improve typing comfort and cradle your fingers
Notably, taller profiles lead to deeper sound.
It's pretty much the same price as any other small-run enthusiast key cap set, so if you're complaining that all small-run enthusiast key cap sets are too expensive, then... don't buy them? I personally think snowboards are overpriced considering that they are just a plank of wood, but I don't generally go complaining about it on snowboarding forums because I don't buy snowboards.
Not trying to be rude here, but no one's forcing you to buy them. They're priced the same as any limited kit and GMK kits run for 50% higher cost. You can always go for TaiHao if you want cheap, high quality PBT sets.
The tooling was struck based on the composition of Susuwatari's kits. The kits are also collated manually after production. Sometimes, it's just easier not to make changes. A significant amount of extraneous keys might warrant their exclusion.
That's a fair reason 👍. Saying "You'll just have to live with extras of each" just gave of the impression that Drop didn't care or whether there was actually any attention to detail, but I'm glad that was incorrect. Thank you 😄
Any future plans for ortho and colevrak+ kits? Would be in for wob and bow. Love MT3 profile btw, currently using serika and suss. Would love to get some additional sets.
Any chance to get the MT3 spacebar set for this in either the black or white? I have a split space bar - 2.75u, 2.25u, and 1.25u spacebars are needed! Susuwatari has a spacebar kit but its OOS and also grey.
Hi Everyone!
We're excited to release two new colorways using the brand new MT3 tooling designed for the Matt3o Susuwatari Keycap Set. This manufacturing process took almost two years to perfect and the community response has been immense!
This initial on-sale is for 500 units of Black on White, and 500 White on Black MT3 Base Kits. All of these kits are at our warehouse, with immediate shipping. That's right, not a 6 month, or 9 month, or 24 month wait. Buy it today, get it in a few days.
We have more Base kits being produced and in transit, so if you miss out on the initial 500 units you'll be able to get one in a reasonably short time. We're also finishing up production of Ortho kits. Additional kits are not currently slotted for production but we'll consider adding them in the future if production slot availability and demand warrant.
Pending QC checks and color matching, MT3 Jukebox and MT3 Camilo are planned to go on sale before the end of the year as well.
Oh, yes, I’ve seen that. I was curious if there were any photos from prototype rounds or QC or anything like that. Super excited to see the jukebox colorway in MT3 :)
Will there ever be a "Extras" set released for WoB? I need those Vol +, -, mute, and Calc keys and the other MT3 sets don't seem to match colors exactly. The Drop + Matt3o 3277 Custom set looks to be almost the same colors with the extras available, but I can't get confirmation if it's exact match to WoB.

Leon_Magnus3277 isn't going to be an exact match. The alphas look slightly lighter grey than Susuwatari's, and the mods a bit of a cooler dark grey, but they aren't black. The lettering looks like it may be a light grey, instead of Susuwatari's cream color, but not white?
BitLuder100% agree. Would have bought it if they had an ISO-nor add-on. Or even just a generic international one with the Nordic characters crammed somewhere in there.
