Look, the value proposition on an expensive, glorified USB-C cable isn't something you're going to consider. You don't need this product.
If you're looking at it, though, there's a decent chance you're doing something very specific with your build. You're like me - you have the color of your build picked out, and you're overspending on a hobbyist keyboard setup that ties the look together. You either have no budget constraints, or you are a *crazy* person who would rather spend your excess budget on desk aesthetics than extra PC performance you don't need. (I'm the latter. I'd rather have spent the money on this setup and get a high-end [but sub-$500] GPU that meets my needs.)
If you are either one of these categories, don't not do this.
I'd liken this cable to buying a PC case more than a PC Motherboard (although PC cases aren't just flash, you should pick a functional one!). Would you build the PC of your dreams, but stick it in a case you hate? Even if you save 50 bucks, the PC case is the thing you'll be looking at all the time.
In that same vein, this is the cable for you if your PC budget is making room for aesthetics. Obviously this cable is Noctua specific, but CableMod makes other colors, and this review is about the principal of the thing.
You'll be looking at this cable every time you use the keyboard: don't spend hundreds of dollars on your desk setup aesthetics and decide to save 40 bucks by having an ugly USB-C cable dangling on your desk.
